Figured out why the game looks amazing at times and so so at other times..

picked up the game last night fellas.. At times the visuals are stunning.. It all depends on the lighting and that's based on the time of game but more specifically its the inning.. Every park looks amazing at night in the late innings.. Look at the player models in any park in the 8th inning of night games... They all look natural and gorgeous but in the 5th inning very cartoonish... Also seems day games look amazing first few innings but cartoonish and plasticky in the later innings.. Its all lighting but perhaps scea can make all innings follow the same lighting scheme as the early innings for day games or late innings for night.. Its like two different games at times.. Still loving it but it would be at an elite level if the lighting of player models wasn't so schizophrenic. Try taking screenshots so u can see for yourself. Thoughts?

This has been the case with the show in ps3 as well. Its not a big deal and the game looks awesome. If you put the same lighting the whole game it becomes unrealistic

In real life a 330 start time is sunny and by 630 or 7 the sun falls and it looks a bit as you say cartoonish. Its norma;l

I just hope next year they have time to upgrade the game to a more next gen state. Launch was always going to be tough but..... eh, it looks okay for launch I guess.

yea this tough start we got for the show 14 on the ps4 was not unexpected, give it few years and well have the visually great game everybody is hoping for.
player models, animations, lightning everything will improve. I don't expect any amazing progress for next year already either, cos of the short time the devs will get. I'm all in for the show 16 and what comes after that to be honest.

yea this tough it tart we got for the show 14 on the ps4 was not unexpected, give it few years and well have the visually great game everybody is hoping for.

I hope your wrong there cause they will have a full year cycle on 15 and I expect alot major differences from 14 comapred to 15..

Technically they won't because 14 on PS4 is coming out late.

Ramone said in an interview that the work on the games for 9 months, the bigger problem is if they are still working on PS3, as that dev time can impact the PS4s, unless they have two seperate teams working on it.
