Some people are saying that its not that much different visually from the ps3 version. I was playing the ps3 version last nite saying to myself this game looks awesome, and that rite there might be the problem the game looks so damn good on ps3 you would need to a major leap visually to be blown away but that's just my thoughts on it. Does anyone else think this the best looking ps3 game out?

I think some people are cracked out. The graphics look twice as good on PS4 in my opinion.
There's a major difference between graphics and animations/player models. It doesn't look that much different due to same movement, etc. Not graphics.
But yes, it looked amazing on PS3. But after seeing PS4 I can't play that anymore.Comment

If they want to make a ps4 graphical jump, they're going to need to start by adding way more than 3 body types.

A lot of people are making their statements after watching streams of the show. The quality of the stream is lower than actually playing the game. I think the ps4 version looks amazing and can't wait till I get home with my copy tomorrow.

I'll admitt that there where times looking a screenshots I thought they were ps4 screenshots but they were ps3, but once more ps4 screenshots came out, it was clear how sharp, clean, and how the graphics overwhelm the ps3. They by far the best graphics on any next gen game I've seen yet.Comment

Well i'd probably say to the OP no, i don't feel The Show is the the best looking sports game on PS3 at all. In fact, to me it's probably the worst. NBA 2K and even some EA sports game like NHL or Madden have at least "smoother" graphics in my view, where The Show is ridden with jaggies galore. Along the Stadium, along the field, around my player.
In fact, i have to tone my sharpness from about 50 to 20 just to make the textures look more acceptable. As far as PS4 it in no way from what i can tell are people watching "streaming" saying there's no leap and bound differences. It's people who now have access to the game who are posting as such.
However, we have to be blatantly honest, Next Gen on ANY game was not going to be leaps and bounds from current gen. I personally saved my money having Xbox and PS3 already, knowing what was being shown to us on many of these games in fact were no real big differences (certainly not worth 4 or 500 dollars).
In a few years maybe, but certainly not now. The crowds may look better, but not much else.
For people purchasing it for PS4 i really hope you're going to enjoy it, and if it's better for you, that's what matters, but for others like myself, i'll be waiting a longer while. In fact 13 may even look a bit smoother in my view.Comment

The game does look much better and sharper but......
Its clear some of the assets from ps3 are used. For example the uniforms. Yes they are sharper but they would be so much nicer if they were created from scratch for PS4.
The stadiums for the most part are gorgeous but again you can see some things that are just from PS3. I have lots of examples I've found. There are still some low res textures thst I don't want to see on PS4.
The game does look fantastic but ill will look 10x better once they rebuild everything and not just stadiums.
And just to add once you play ps4 version no way could you go back to PS3Comment

Agreed, the stuff you mentioned sticks out like a sore thumb now that everything else looks miles better. Using the catcher's gear and shin guards as examples, they just look so out of place now because the floaty effect breaks the immersion. It doesn't help that you have to stare at them for the majority of the game either.Bakin' soda, I got bakin' sodaComment

If anyone wants a couple of examples to look at for themselves that isn't uniforms or gear...
1. Go around all the stadiums and look at dugout art. Both inside and on the roofs.
2. The third deck tarp at oakland. (Small to most but annoying when playing there for 82 games)
3. "SFGiants.com" behind home plate at AT&T.
Im in no way saying these are that important but when the game looks lovely these things stick out like a sore thumb as Seanjeezy saysComment

more pants shapes, some loose jerseys, and real uni textures. that's why people are complaining why it's so similar.
