So, I'm facing this same problem. Black bars all around my display. There is absolutely no option to correct this either. Incredibly disappointed already. This is inexcusable and has little to do with the new hardware.

I'm using this setting and having the same issue as everyone else. The "Display" option simply isn't in the game. Also, I've adjusted from the PS4 menu and it doesn't effect the display at all. Now, I'm downloading the roster update currently so I'll relaunch the app when it's done. I don't think it will make a difference.

What a horrible thing to have on Day 1 when you can't even read your ticker or see the left side/right side of the screen. I had the same problem in DCUO but, it had the slider options to adjust the screen. The Show does not.

Either way, try these steps and see if it resolves your issue;

- From the playstation menu (not the MLB 14 menu) go to settings.

- Scroll down to 'sound and screen' and inside there click on "display area"

This will let you know if you have to resize your screen or not to fit the TV area.

Hope this works.

So the black bars around screenshots... setting your TV to full pixel and maximizing H and V size in-game gets rid of those

Nope, it doesn't.

Even enlarged it as much as possible, still the same bars.

MLB 13 fix suggests using the visual slider in-game, but of course that doesn't exist.

This is annoying.

If it were related to the console's settings, this would be an issue on every single game, not just this one. The problem is with the game itself.

Haha I just realized he said screenshots. Try the picture options setting on your TV See if it can be adjusted and go from there.

My picture is full for everything else.

Even if that did fix it, I'm not going to manually go through my options and zoom in every time I play the Show, that's silly.

Picture settings on the TV have nothing to do with this. The game has a default setting and there isn't a way to adjust it. I'm guessing a patch will be needed because there is literally no way to fix it in game or on the PS4.

Went through all of my TV settings, nothing like that available. Not to mention this is similar to the PS4 settings suggestion. If it was the TV's issue, it would be an issue for all games.

Then I don't really know what to tell you then. Not everyone is having this issue. Some have adjusted their TVs and the PS screen and it works just fine. Contact Sony?
