Almost shockingly so. This is a feature that had been in the series for the last 2-3 years, and really the only mode a lot of dedicated gamers played (myself included). I can't recall a day the entire season last summer my friend all the way across the country and I wouldn't get a nice co-op game against the CPU going, wind down, relax and enjoy an evening game that could last for the better part of 90-120 minutes.
It wasn't even a big deal that only 2 PS consoles could connect at one time, as playing the CPU provided a fun, and challenging experience.
Leading up to this years game, one could've probably hoped for an expansion of the mode, including possibly up to 4 different PS4's to provide a true 'team up' mode nearly identical to nearly every other sports franchise on the market.
But no, the mode gets COMPLETELY scraped and it's omission is never mentioned until after the PS3 release.
Even though it was made known that the PS4 version would be verbatim to it's last gen predecessor, I still held out hope that it could possibly make a next-gen return, only to be let down further.
The last thing I want to do is go on a long diatribe, and I rarely vent on forums, but this really sucked. I can speak for my friend as well as PLENTY of other gamers who are really upset with this major gaff in the design of this years iteration of 'The Show'
Hopefully something could possibly be done to get it patched in, but I'm not holding my breath.
