Emilio Bonifacio being picked off? This game is realistic.

      ...and depressing.

Unless I'm am idiot, which is possible, I've read this thread a few times and can't find where someone said how to do it, hence why I asked about it in the Q/A thread.

Are we talking about just holding the base icon right after the pitch or is there something I am missing?

You're not missing anything, it's been possible for many many years. Just press the base; it's a normal throw.

The "new" part is that baserunners are actually susceptible to it now. In the past, the AI forced baserunners back to the bag unequivocally, immediately upon completion of the pitch. There was no variation in the return times, and the return time was always faster than any possible throw you could make. Thus, you couldn't get a runner out.

          Until this year, apparently.
