Installation from disc

Quick question so I know what to expect...how long has the installation and update taken for those that bought a hard copy? This is my first go 'round with The Show, my son (8 y/o) and myself (almost 39) have been looking forward to this day since the PS4 was opened up on Christmas day. Previous to today I was stuck with the trash 2K series on 360 every couple of years, couldn't bring myself to buy it every year and those years I did I hoped like hell it had improved.

About 40-45 minutes.

You can play while it installs but only in ballparks that are installed etc.

I didnt bother, just waited.

I popped it in during lunch. About 45 minutes later it was at 50%, but I played a few quick count innings so I dont know if that slowed it down.

took me about 40 mins. as the other guy said you can play in the meantime, but it slows it down some. better off just waiting

Thanks...what part of Buffalo? I grew up in the Dunkirk/Fredonia area, though I live in Dayton, OH now.

The Red Sox and Tigers were the first teams to install (or maybe they were the only pre-installed teams, I'm not sure), so I played a quick exhibition game with them to get used to the Vita-to-PS4 adjustment while my Rockies finished installing. Loving every bit of this game though.

The update 4 minutes. The install around 40 minutes. I played a game when some teams loaded up that were ready for play while still installing.

When you insert the game for the first time its take about 1m 30s for a quick installation after that if you download the update that its around 250mb its additional 2-4 minutes just depend how fast its your internet, i have 25mb, then make the complete presentation that its really amazing and a loading with probably take around 3 minutes you can hear the ps4 noise on the disc trying to read it, then come the really huge install that took around 30-35 minutes..... you can play the demo until the installation its complete......... So the long answer short....... Around 40-45 minutes!!!!!!! its crazy, but this is the best graphics game so far........PS4

I have some issues with how NBA2K14 works, but the graphics in that game are outstanding. You say MLB 14's graphics are even better?
