Meter, all the way. It's a lot of fun, and you get so much "physical" feedback. Like, if you mess up, it's probably your fault.

Re: Do u prefer pulse or meter pitching?
Used to use meter for years. Now I've switched to classic for the past couple years.Comment

Re: Do u prefer pulse or meter pitching?
Haven't decided which one yet. First time playing the show, long time 2k user. I don't think I understand the pitching. I've tried analog, pulse, meter and classic. Classic feels the most accurate for me. My question is how do you aim with meter and analog. I've had them land perfectly, but not end up where I want them to. Almost seems like the pitcher's have no actual accuracy.Comment

Re: Do u prefer pulse or meter pitching?
Single player: Pulse, results in more walks even if I try to hit spots on higher difficulties. Even on legend with meter I will often only walk guys if I intentionally pitch around them.
Online: Meter, I pitch better with it technically and if there is any lag pulse is hard to use online.Comment

Meter.
Does anyone know how to turn off yellow arrows/pitch break WITHOUT turning the ball marker off? Very annoying to show where pitches are going while playing friend in same room.Comment

Re: Do u prefer pulse or meter pitching?
I use meter, but I might give pulse a try. Pitching needs to be more difficult for me.Comment

You are looking for "Pitch Callout" option I believe.Comment

Re: Do u prefer pulse or meter pitching?
I personally like pulse. The difficulty and precision is there. Meter pitching is for novice for my opinion. I have a question. How do you post a thread? Every time I try I don't have access. Is there a rank or certain amount of post you need to make? Thanks!Comment

Re: Do u prefer pulse or meter pitching?
I've tried pulse, analog, and meter. Pulse is the default, and I like that it's almost impossible to master, but it lacks the feel of meter and analog. In pulse you press a button once and then the pitcher throws, it's like you pre-load a pitch. In meter, you have to press twice - for power (to start the pitcher's motion) and then for release/accuracy. I like how with meter you press the second time for release, feels like you're actually pitching instead of pulse where you basically press button and then wait for pitcher to go into his motion. But problem with meter pitching has always been that eventually you master it. Analog has potential but I hate the big graphic it uses and seems too much. So I'm torn between meter and pulse.Comment

Re: Do u prefer pulse or meter pitching?
Probably pure analog with the ball indicator turned off and a house rule that I have to move the controller so I can't grove a FB down the middle.
I like the concept of pulse but I just walk too many guys -- I cannot time the pulse to save my life, which makes me think it's no different than playing classic except for the free bonus seizure :-) I tried it again yesterday and walked 10 guys while striking out 15 and giving up 4 hits. Just feels way too random.Comment
