problems getting online?

So my download finished and everything seems fine. However every time I try to access any feature that goes online (download a roster, the show live, access my cloud saves), the game just hangs forever, spinning circle and appears locked up. Then eventually says something like "No FLS servers available". I cannot do anything except play locally. I am able to access the internet, go to the PS store and running the built in tests comes back fine.

I was hoping this was a widespread issue. Any ideas what I can try short of deleting and downloading it all again? This is frustrating... was looking forward to continuing my franchise or starting a new one with OSFM rosters. I can't do either. Rebooted 2-3 times and no difference.

I can't seem to view the roster vaults. Spinner spins and then stops eventually. Does nothing else.

I am experiencing the same frustrating thing with trying to get online. I couldn't get into the "browse roster" feature without the game freezing the first couple of hrs I had the game. Now, I can't get into the challenge of the week without the game hanging. So you're not the only one at this point. New game on next gen so there are a few kinks that need ironing out.

I was having the same issue...just went into 'The Show Live' though and as I was browsing the forum it seemed to load. So I'm watching the Twins/Indians on my iPad via MLBTV app and now I'm going to pick up the game with where it stands in the 7th inning? Pretty cool.


Edit: apparently not, game started in the 1st inning. I thought I read that it was going to create a game scenario from that particular point in time for that particular game IRL.

I was finally able to connect and download the live roster. Then I was able to download an OSFM modified roster but it was slow. Navigating the roster vault was painful at best. Everything took forever to load. Now it seems okay.

I do have a question though. It seems as if there is a little "loading" icon down in the bottom right of my screen just about all the time. I mean it disappears sometime but it seems to be there almost always. What the heck is it loading? Anyone else seeing this behavior? Glad I finally got connected but man is the online interface dog slow right now. I never had this with the PS3 version.

Definitely seeing the loading bar, but I can't get into download a roster atm. I was thinking the same thing about not having issues with the ps3 version.

Sorry, ps4 noob here. I installed game fully then couldn't access roster vault so I backed out to see if needed software update. It keeps telling me that one is downloading bu I don't see it active in downloads, where can I find status?

Lol, it has to be a tough spot to be a gaming company these days.

Your options are:

1. Overkill your budget on servers to be sure that no one has problems for the first day, and after a week, half of those servers are useless for the reduced traffic load and you've spent way too much money.

2. Buy the correct amount, and suffer horrific reviews and social media flak for the first week, only to be completely fine once the initial interest has waned.

There isn't really a perfect way to handle it. I've kinda taken to giving them a pass on the first week.

Same, I've tried about 3-4 times and had to restart the game so I've stopped trying.

Count me as one of the ones with issues with anything Online related. On top of that I can no longer view who's on my friends list. This Digital Download has left a negative impact for me with this game. First the 12 plus hour delay to download and now this.

Just a quick update. I decided to download the Official Rosters and now I'm able to get into all a Online features. Maybe it's tied together somehow

I was just finally able to get in and download it with no problem. The first time I tried to download it was a fail because as I was saving it, I "lost connection". When I went back in, it worked with no problem.

The online was just as bad on the first day for Vita also. Then it was normal again later on. Give it some time.
