Roster issue, where is an up to date one?

Hi guys, I started my JAYS chise last night, I noticed one of the Jays top prospect marcus Stroman is not even in the game and he is even with the big club?

Is there a good up to date roster?

Also noticed Bautista is rated lower then Carlos beltran...I mean beltran is good but JB is one of the top hitters in the game so far this season with a .460 OBP, 9 HR's, and near the lead in many categories. Needs to be adjusted a bit. he has been an elite hitter for 4 + years now.

Stats this year dont matter in the game. You can change them. And the devs cant make prospects so there is no player that hasnt been in the Majors before. Download the OSFM rosters.

OSFM is available in the roster Vault. Last I checked Knight's version was 2nd in DLs.

Just download OSFM and move Stroman from AAA to MLB if that's where you'd like him, he's on Buffalo in that set.

The ratings wer given months ago. Before the season started so at the time these stats didnt matter. I didnt know Stroman was in the majors but he hasnt been for more than a few days so they havent had time ti get a new roster out. Like i said download the OSFM rosters.

If you do not download the OSFM roster, Stroman will likely be in the next official roster since he made his debut on the weekend.

And what HozAndMoose meant is that until a player has some MLB service time, he does not get added to the game. So Stroman would not be in the default roster or the last April 28th Roster because he had not played a game yet. Now that he has, expect to see him in the next official Roster update.

Overall rating in baseball is a lot less important than in other games, like football. In Madden, a WR needs to run and catch, so it's easy to calculate an overall with such specific positional tasks.

Bautista has poor vision because of his K rate. His fielding and reaction are atrocious. He's also incredibly slow.

Beltran's fielding is great, his vision is better, his contact is obviously better, he's faster, and his clutch is through the roof (and rightfully so).

Seems like they are rated pretty accurately. It all depends on what type of player you want. If you're in the AL with the ability to play Joey in the DH or 1B spot, he may be a better option--especially in the Rogers Centre or Yankee Stadium. If you're controlling the Phillies and need another OFer, then Beltran would probably get you more wins.

It's all circumstantial. Overall is simply the average of all ratings weighed by position. Move Joey to 1B and watch his overall go up. He's still the same player.

LMAO at bautista having poor vision, he walks more then anyone, and has a cannon for an arm(Watch his assist last night), he is an above average fielder, and has way moe power. Anyone who says beltran has better vision is clueless. No one has more big cluth HR's then bautista. Clutch si not a thing, it's the law of average in baseball anyway, it's not s stat or an argument to even use. How many clutch at bats of each hitter have you seen?

Bautista has better stats period, better WAR, better OPS, better OBP, mroe extra base hits..... Only a baseball fan who knows nothing looks at batting average today to judge a player.

Everyone is afraid to pitch to Bautista, you dont see beltran get constantly pitched around, there is a reason for that. Bautista gets way mroe meaningfull contact, takes more pirches, gets on base more. It's no contest. No one in the baseball world has the same respect for Beltran as they do bautista.

                            Questions been answered.

I'm not going to let this turn into a sabermetrics battle. There's enough of that in the baseball forum.
