    Issues with Analog fielding?

Absolutely love the game, but I am having one issue, I keep getting bad throws and errors with analog fielding. I always use analog and never had an issue on ps3, is it due to the DS4 being more precise? Is anyone else finding this difference? I might have to go back to button fielding for now, maybe there will be a patch.

Errors are normal, and I like realism, but I am having real difficulty in MLb 14 on ps4, seems I am getting 4-5 errors a game and more errant throws to the cut-off man,.

I'm having the same issue. I was playing some guy online last night and had 3 overthrows in a row on the same play. Luckily the guy I was playing had no idea how to run the bases and he got caught with his pants down between 2nd and 3rd. I even lowered throwing difficulty to Veteran and still no luck.

yes more precise as discussed in the impressions thread. Lower difficulty until you become more familiar. I gave up and went back to buttons

I had to reduce the difficulty from Veteran to Rookie, seems to have helped with the overthrows. I couldn't get a successful throw with it at the higher difficulty.

Yeah, I'm going to have to put the training wheels back on for my favorite fielding mode for sure. I committed 5 throwing errors in my first game at AllStar fielding difficulty (with around 100 people watching on twitch, no less )

Veteran seems a lot more manageable right now. It's just the different feel of the PS4's analog sticks that makes it different.

I had to lower my difficulty as well b/c of the amount of errors, it's not bad at all anymore.

Same for me. I played the PS3 version using my DS4 with zero issues, though.

I use analog for fielding and I noticed back in mlb12 I would have a lot of throwing errors, but I figured out if you turn off the fielding meter it help eliminate the throwing errors, I believe with it off it basically just relies on the fielder throwing attributes. so far I have had no errors on throws and it looks better not having a throwing meter on the screen.

I may try this. Do you literally have no errors, though? I just want a realistic number, not eight plus a game.

You will still have some errors, a way more realistic amount of errors than what you have been, I can't say it make errors at random, but if say your shortstop has a poor arm and throwing ability he will produce more errors than a guy who has a elite arm and throwing ability. I'm not sure on how it all works but I notice with having the meter off I made a lot less errors on throws.

                      Re: Issues with Analog fielding?

It was especially awful in my career with a 2b with like 40 throw accuracy. I was making 3-5 errors a game with my guy alone on throwing errors.

When I played a game as the Dodgers vs the Giants I had no problem with throwing errors the whole time under the same settings, seems like lower rated guys just get punished really hard or something.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one having this issue with the analog fielding. I also keep having 3-4 errors a game on veteran throwing difficulty. That was the method I used and preferred in previous games and want to stick with it now. It just seems a little too unforgiving currently. Hopefully rookie throwing difficulty will help, and/or I'll just have to get better

I went all the way down to rookie and I still throw way too many errors.
