I know the other thread was closed. I don't create new thread to feed the trolls or the masses, but to connect with those who paid for the digital download and then canceled the digital download thru Sony.
I got my refund (yes I know a little about contract law too :wink
because I called Sony and politely asked them to cancel my order since the digital download was not available at the time advertised. I want to stress though that the reason Sony agreed to refund my money (after they later sent me an email declining my request) because I "detrimentally relied" on Sony's word that they would refund my money and bought a retail copy of the game.
So..if (and only if) you are one of those persons who did the same, you should consider contacting Sony for a refund. The difference here is that Sony promised a refund and I already paid for the retail copy after they said they would reimburse me.

Please keep in mind that if the funds are being returned to your credit card, it will take up to 1-2 billing cycles through your financial institution before the funds will actually be posted to the account.
Please note, according to PSN terms of service and user agreement, all users should safeguard their account information to prevent use by any other user. SCEA shall have no liability for any unauthorized usage of a PSN account. SCEA will not be able to refund your account again. To check on your refund, please contact your credit card company.
