    Sounds of the Show...

Just creating this thread to see if anyone is as upset about how SOTS is now all but gone because of Sony and to see if any news has come out about possible MP3 updates or allowing music unlimited to be used in SOTS, I feel bad for Russell and so many others who work hard to make the game better every year. He couldn't promote a feature that made the best baseball franchise ever even greater. If any news has been posted, leaked or released. Post it guys as will I. Thanks!

This has been discussed quite a bit. Nobody knows anything for sure right now, but I'm willing to say it's likely that MP3 support is going to be added to the PS4. As soon as that happens, then Sounds of the Show will be as great as it always is.

Have you guys tried changing he songs that play during games at certain times like "intro" and mid or end of innings. I have changed from the list of songs we have but they don't play. Also same problem with batter intros he music doesn't play if you change what it's default to.

This feature boosts the emersion factor so much. I hope Sony incorporates MP3 ASAP so we can get the SOTS in

I am!! This is my first entry into the series and I was very disappointed to find out that SotS wouldn't be in the PS4 version. Again, this is an issue with Sony and not SCEA. Where can we express our discontent to Sony??

                Re: Sounds of the Show...

I love the MLB The Show franchise. I've owned/played every game since release on the old PS2. I'm a Sony guy through and through.

But... the lack of mp3 support on the PS4 bugs the heck out of me. I absolutely loved playing RTTS with my own music for my own guy. Walkup music, Home Runs, etc. I felt completely immersed in the game. I felt like I was a part of the game. Like I was actually my RTTS character. The Sounds of The Show feature added so much to the game, and now that it's gone, it just isn't the same to me. I don't get hyped up when I hit a home run now. The music added that element to it. I know it is no fault of SCEA or the developers of MLB The Show, but not having that feature really took away alot for me. I still play the game, of course, and the gameplay is astounding. It just isn't "the same" without having the ability to add our own music.

The PS4 is an incredible machine, but it feels like Sony is taking a step in the direction of Apple by restricting what it can do for some odd and unknown reason. The PS4 may be capable of a heck of a lot more systematically and processing-wise than the PS3, but the PS3 was a console that gave you the freedom of just about anything.

I sure hope they release some sort of patch, and we can implement our own music in MLB 14. It just isn't the same without it. I'm really having a difficult time getting the replayability right now.

Sony has been dangling the MP3 carrot since launch.
