Ay, but the benefits are so tremendous. I've found ways to cope with it anyway, like changing the screen size every so often or vary my viewing habits/content.

Plus, I'm at 6,000 hours with my bedroom plasma and over 2,000 hours with my downstairs plasma in the family room. Hours of usage will significantly help prevent such an issue.

There's also a difference between burn-in and uneven wear/stubborn IR. Most plasmas today don't get burn-in, but the latter. Unlike burn-in, it is still reversible.

I've done some testing and feel that 720 make cutscenes smoother

Tested the game on the big screen with actual 1080p and it is a thing of beauty! Now I really can see the details and the lighting definitely shows. On my other tv it looked just like the older games, I was like so much for all that hype lol.

Put it this way...1080p is gorgeous! I solely play sports games due to my passion for sports & their realism on consoles, esp MLB the show. For years I've been gaming on a 42" plasma 1080i hooked up w component cables (imagine that)! So i finally recently upgraded to a samsung 46" led 1080p w hdmi (obviously) & I've finally seen the light...no pun intended! Lcds r lit so beautifully especially during day games this game stands out! I cannot believe it took me so damn long to upgrade but now a want a ps4....maybe tomorrow (literally)!!!
