Are you seeing pitches largely in the middle of the plate?

I ask because with how the game (seemingly randomly) places pitches that miss, a lot of times I see bad pitches (i.e. bad locations) that I presume are misexecuted pitches. They could have gone way out of the zone, but ended up down the middle instead. Especially in the low minors...I haven't played RTTS this year yet but if what's in AA rosters in franchise is any indication...I suspect a lot of just horrid pitches.

Other than that, maybe adjust strike frequency lower (maybe 0 in AA, halfway between 0 and where ever you usually have it in AAA, and then where you usually have it when you make the Majors)?

I haven't seen as big an issue Stolm is seeing in pitchers down in minors... (although I haven't gone that deep in the mode yet this year). If you are playing on All-star on AA then it would be because your are actually on Veteran (where CPU doesn't nibble as much)... but you are on HoF then that's not the issue.

But reasons maybe that pitchers down in minors often don't have high BB/9 and Control ratings, so it's possible they just don't have good enough command to locate their pitches.

Another reason is that your hitter's hitting attributes are quite low still... so CPU may be seeing you as a weak hitter, so he is challenging you and isn't nibbling/pitching around at all.

(The latter may be a side effect of AI relying too much on attributes and not performance...)

I am guessing that is exactly the reason why. They see the low power and mediocre contact while ignoring the ridiculous slugging and average and don't adapt based on performance.

Even with the 500+ average they still pound the zone with runners in scoring position.

It's a shame they haven't improved this since I started this thread a few years ago. It will be the same old thing, where once I allocate enough points into power, then the walks will increase. If I had very high power I could probably be less than half the hitter, and work far more walks.

I probably could have less Homeruns and Slugging, and still the AI would pitch around me, because all it's looking at is that power number.
