[Stuck] Please re-connect controller for user 2

Platform: PS4 (Digital Download)
Mode: RTTS

So like 4 played games into the season or so (I've done 2 training sessions), and I am presented with my 3rd training session and I get this message:

"Please re-connect controller for user 2" There is no way to click past it, cancel it. I've tried unplugging my controller but to no avail. I can still press the options button and navigate the pause menu. I don't own a 2nd controller and I've no clue why the game is asking about reconnecting a controller for user 2 as I'm in single player mode.

Has anyone experienced this issue?

The only way i could fix it was by, pressing the options button, and clicking the "Quit" button. At least this advances me past the problem, but I missed out on that training session (no biggie, but still an odd bug).

Were you able to resolve this issue? I just started having it with a new user (user 1). I am using a disc copy. Just wondering if you are still having this problem. It only happens in RTTS.

I'm having this issue as well now. On a potentially related note, my in game RTTS settings inexplicably defaulted back to the original set up a couple of days ago, even though my saved settings are still present at the main menu.

Other than skipping the training, anyone have a work around for this bug?

I haven't found anything. It only happens when trying to use a user other than the one I normally use. Since it only affects me when my brother is down for the weekend, I haven't messed with it much. Hopefully they fixed whatever it was in the new patch?
