    Swing Lag/Delay

I think this is probably just my TV, but I was wondering if this is happening to anyone else or if anyone knows how to fix it.

I'm not having any delay at all in any part of the game besides swinging. It just takes about a split second too long to swing after I press the button which is causing me to be "very late" on almost every swing when I press the button at the time I normally would.

All I know about the TV is that it's a 55" Samsung Plasma

Are you sure you're not just swinging too late? I mean you're saying you're always late...

Only thing I can think of besides user error (sorry) is to try seeing if your TV has a "game mode" that helps.

Haha I doubt it... I just got the game yesterday and in my first two games I scored one run total in each game and now in my third game I've scored two in two innings so maybe I was just sucking and it was in my head or something, but I'll check about the game mode thing.

It's really gonna depend on the samsung model TV you have. Input lag for Samsung 55 inch tv's range from 35 ms to 59 ms. If your model is closer to the 59 ms range you might be experiencing a bit of input lag. Of course if your model is closer to 35 ms chances are that you might be able to switch a setting on your tv because at 35 you most likely wouldn't notice it.

Samsung Plasmas are notoriously bad for input lag. Game mode certainly helps but it still won't be ideal. I had a Samsung LCD that had over 100ms of input lag with game mode off. It sucked. Game mode brought that down to 60ms and made the game at least playable.

yeah game mode makes a huge difference. At first I didn't have it set to being on with my samsung 32 inch which is like six years old. I was late on everything, but when i switched to game mode the lag was reduced. I got a brand new sony yesterday and there is hardly any noticeable lag anymore. Makes a huge difference in a sport where every millisecond counts.

Everybody bags on Samsung but I have a 55' plasma that I've never even had to put on game more and I get respectable numbers on.
