RTTS pitching - not getting pulled

I just made a pitcher who was drafted to the Blue Jays and currently in AA. I'm pitching my first game and have 9 SO's so far, and am at 90 pitches and it says "Getting Tired".

Why isn't the manager pulling me out of the game? I thought I read somewhere where the pitchers aren't getting pulled out of the game if they're doing well regardless if they're dead tired.

Is this an issue? Any fixes?

Yeah this is an issue. I was left in there in the 8th inning tied game and was at 105 or so pitches. Tired. Took 2 walks and a hit before he finally pulled me.

I had only allowed 2 hits and 12 strikeouts... So maybe that's why. But it is Aggrivating for sure

Welp, this just broke pitching in this mode for me. I was "out of energy" and because I wasn't pulled out of the game I gave up 4 runs in the 7th inning because I was so stupidly tired and had over 100 pitches.

So much for pitching in RTTS. I remember this being an issue in previous years, but hadn't messed with RTTS since then. How is this still not fixed? lol

In sliders there is an option to have them pull you sooner works fine after I moved it 1 over

I don't think a pitcher should always get pulled when "he's getting tired". Certain circumstances maybe keep him in..the no energy thing, yes..I've experienced that. They seem to not pull guys, assume you're pitching well, in the middle of an inning.

The mode is still very playable. Just when you get tired, you REALLY have to be smart with your pitches.

If you give up a walk or hit after it says you are getting tired, you are usually pulled. I am loving pitching in RTTS.

What happens if I'm going for a no-hitter? Or even a shutout? Do I still get pulled for this option?

Re: RTTS pitching - not getting pulled

I can deal with not getting pulled once in awhile (I had this happen also) but there are other things that break this game

                - Pitch in the dirt, rolls ~4 feet to the catchers left, he picks it up and watches the runner come in from third and makes no attempt to make a play at the plate, just punches his glove. --- This happens all the time and the lack of any attempt at plays at home are infuriating. Even if I get to the plate before the runner and am covering it there is no toss/throw to me.

                - caught a guy trying to steal third, so there is just a guy on first. Pop Fly to shallow RF..Some how a run scores and the guy on first is now at 2nd (I think this is a bug report)

                - (Meter pitching) no matter where I point the ball in the strike zone it goes somewhere else, hit greens on both ends of the meter, ball goes left, right, top, bottom anywhere but where i aim it in the strike zone forcing a walk on the batter. Next batter come up and I can hit my spots...WTF?? (not to be confused with hitting greens on the meter and having your pitches go right down the middle, separate issue)

                - Nobody covering 1st, I had grounders hit to me and go to throw to first and nobody is at the bag.....no one comes over till the runner reaches the bag. (I think he was at the concession stand??) If this is due to a shift (Extreme left? is that in the game?), the we need notifications of defensive shifts.

So if I am left in pitching for 100 pitches or so, I just tell myself that the bullpen is depleted or the RP is still warming up and take the hit. It seems like this only happens on the first game you play when you get to a new team as I had it happen first game I played when traded also if you are pitching well.

Never messed whith manager hook so I don't know if you will get pulled if pitching a no-hit or shut out..I usually adjust Pitcher and Reliever Stamina to 4 and 3 for human (and CPU if I see CPU pitcher getting ridiculous pitch counts) and that seems to work for me.

No not if your dominating the game. Mostly helps when you've pitched 6 innings given up 3 runs and are at 100 pitches. It's only a slight change at one notch over not drastic.

Re: RTTS pitching - not getting pulled

I wasn't using a pitcher, I was a 3B. But last night the CPU pitcher in the 7th inning had thrown 105 pitches. He was still in when I came up to bat in the 9th again. At that point he had thrown 143 pitches. He finished the game. I came up with 2 outs, and he got me to fly out to deep right. Final count after my 7 pitches was 150. What in the hell. They were down 9-2. First I have ever seen that.

So I guess its not just human pitchers messed up. Its the entire code for the hook logic in RTTS.
