How do you know a AAA/AA prospect is ready?

Do you call up the player based on Age or how they are preforming in the minors? I would say a combo of both age and stats. I am just asking what guidelines you follow on callups, in order to make sure the player is ready for the big times.

    Generally a combination of:

    1) Their MiLB stats, don't want to call up a guy who is cold
    2) Arbitration clock (for certain prospects)
    3) The need for the big league club

If they're killing it in AAA it's time.

It all depends on what they are doing in AAA vs how the MLB player is doing.
        MLB: Texas Rangers
        Soccer: FC Dallas, Fleetwood Town
        NCAA: SMU, UTA
        NFL: Dallas Cowboys
        NHL: Dallas Stars
        NBA: Dallas Mavericks
