Excessive throwing errors, really buggy, pickoff attempts

Anyone else find this game incredibly buggy? I am getting 5-6 errors a game either from the CPU dropping balls, bad throws, and myself as well. Had to switch to button throwing due to analog being real touchy buy I am seeing errors all over the place on default all-star.

Also, when I take a leadoff the cpu is constantly throwing over the first, over and over all the time. In RTTS I get picked off constantly as if you don't have cat like reflexes it seems your player is slow getting back to base, was not like this last year. It's annoying because it otherwise is a great game.

This. I've began to just hold my thumb stick down so my player gets back to base if the pitcher throws over

What difficulty where you playing on for analog throwing? I was having major issues too. Russell mentioned that the sticks are very sensitive and suggested I try lowering the difficulty. I did and it saved analog throwing for me. It was a hit to my ego, but it worked, and I still have throwing errors.

When leading off in RTTS, make sure you are leaning back toward the base you're starting from until the pitcher begins his delivery. You'll beat a lot of the pick-off attempts that way.

Seeing a ton of errors too...Indians had 6 in a game vs me and I've had plenty more instances where the CPU has had multiple errors.

Yep, I am now 15 games into my season, every game has had multiple errors, every game, often on weak ground balls, or cpu dropping fly balls. Also many bad throws to first even on pickoffs, hope this gets patched to be a little less frequent.

Yea I gave up and switched to button throwing, that and "classic" baserunning has been my biggest (and only really) frustrations.

Leading off without getting a pickoff attempt is almost impossible in this game. I've had a pitcher throw it to first 10 times in a row before I finally gave up on trying to get a lead.

The announcer was just like "and again!" Over and over. It's annoying but happens less often when the pitcher is deeper in the count.

The leadoff/pickoff system in RTTS is flat-out bugged. How can I be a 68 Steal/70 Base Aggressiveness and not be able to lead off and get back to the bag on a throw-over?

When taking a lead from 2B, if the pitcher turns to throw, the player remains locked in place, even when i'm jamming the stick back to the base. Seems broken... which is too bad. I love stealing and trying to mess with the pitcher, but it's not realistic currently.

I started on All-Star (the level I have started with each year since 09 fwiw), and I'm down to Rookie and it's still a nightmare for me. I can't turn a double play, the guys all throw with a rag arm (when it goes where it is actually supposed to), or the throws are flat out wild.

which stinks because I've loved the analog throw mechanism since it was put into the game. I'm trying to fight through it though

It's official - The lead/pickoff system is broken. I was picked off taking a normal lead 3 times during games last night in RTTS. I'm a 73 Steal and 71 Aggressive now, and it hasn't gotten better.

I hope this is addressed in a patch.

How often are you attempting to steal? The AI adapts to your gameplay, so if you try and steal every time you're on base, you're going to get picked off all the time.

Also, if you try and steal early in the count all the time, the AI will attempt to pick you off early in the count.

That's a great question. First of all, I don't take an extra step, just the normal lead. I'm in my 1st season in the MLB, playing in June. I've attempted to steal 2 times. I've been picked off the bag 7 times. Mostly at 2B, where the leadoff system is the most buggy.

The moment I see the shortstop move to the bag I try to retreat and my player stays locked in position. When the ball is about halfway to 2B, my player will move bag to the bag.

Weird... I've had no problems getting back to the bag like that. Are you holding the L stick back towards second as you wait?

Also, and maybe it's just a graphical thing, but it seems to me like the "normal" lead has been increased by a half step so.
