I've never experienced any rumble problems since 1.70, with any of my games.

I thought maybe it had something to do when I set the light bar on dim. I just go into PS4 settings and uncheck vibration then recheck it again to get it to work. Like others have said it affects other games as well.

Another work around is to turn on your ps4 first then turn on your controller.

I have it dimmed as well but no problems here.
