Explanation of Guess Pitch options?

Default
-Gives you 8 zones to guess.
-Zone will flash if guessed correctly.
-You will hear a sound if the pitch type is guessed correctly.
PCI
-Gives you 8 zones to guess.
-Zone will flash if guessed correctly.
-You will hear a sound if the pitch type is guessed correctly.
-Allows you to move the PCI.
Classic
-Least reward.
-Gives you 8 zones to guess.
-Will show target of pitch location, rather than Zone flash, if guessed correctly.
-You will hear a sound if the pitch type is guessed correctly.
No Feedback
-Most reward.
-No visual or audio feedback is given if guessed correctly.
Off
-Guess Pitch not used.

It doesn't say anywhere in the game, not even in the Strategy Guide.

Default and PCI appear to be the same visually speaking, and my guess is the reward system differs for those two. Classic will show a target of the pitch location if guessed correctly.

I'm wondering how big of a penalty it is if you guess a location wrong when using "classic" guess pitch mode..

I've searched everywhere I can think of and can't find any sort of proper explanation of what the different settings are.

Maybe a developer can hop on here and let us know??? Is it okay to PM those guys? I imagine they get harassed with questions and complaints though, lol.

Also, a few other clarifications for the ones where you mentioned you hear a sound when you guess pitch type correctly...that's not all you get. If you guess only pitch type and guess it right, watch the ball when it leaves the pitcher's hand - it'll momentarily flash red. That's your visual cue to a correct type guess.

Several other tidbits of info in those guides - for example, did you know that when you activate guess pitch, you automatically take a swing timing penalty no matter if you guess right or wrong? This is to compensate for the additional visual info you receive from the feedback.

I know a lot of people don't use it because they feel it is unrealistic, but the results you can get from it can be very real. And it's balanced a lot better than most people think.

Thanks for that bcruise. Seems like explaining reward and penalty don't matter all that much, because they are more or less in relation to the difficulty of the audio and visual cues. Though it is good to know about the PCI for those who use Zone (currently using Timing myself).
