I had it down to the Orioles and Royals. I played two games with the O's. Now I'm wondering if I should reconsider. Maybe the Cubbies? I threw out the Royals because there's no one I was dying to play with. At least Baltimore has Machado and Jones. Cubs have Rizzo, Castro, and Samardzija.

I try to grab a low payroll team..SO I think I'm going with Pittsburgh and there payroll is just under 80m if the website I read is accurate. And during my time with them I will keep the team under 80m. But it's a challenge. I might lower it to 60m over time.Favorites:

Re: Are you having trouble deciding who to start a franchise with? Think No More!
I decided to start one where I pick to control one team from each division, and each team I either picked was due to my liking of their uniforms, a rebuilding project, a beautiful stadium, a stadium I had visited in real life, or just the crappiest team in the division. I'll control each and play each of their games every so often and see how each pan out in their own respective divisionsComment

Re: Are you having trouble deciding who to start a franchise with? Think No More!
For years I didn't like using the Phillies because they were stacked in their prime and too dominant for the game to be really fun. Things have changed so now I enjoy using them. Back when I didn't use them I used to decide who I wanted to be by picking a less than stellar team, but one that had an ace so I could play all their starts.
This way I could do a rebuild, while still having at least one pitcher that I really liked playing as and if they had at least one pretty good bat in the lineup that helped as well.
Teams that come to mind with this strategy in the current day are the Cubs, Pirates (who don't need a full rebuild but aren't top tier), Mariners, Marlins, Mets, Padres, White Sox, Tampa (similar to Pirates... not a full rebuild candidate).Phillies | A's | Michigan State | Browns | Chelsea FC | BruinsComment

I love the Red Sox but I can't get into using them this year... they're too slow. I think I'm just going to look for the team with the quickest roster so I can play some small ball.PSN: LobsterKillahComment
