How the heck do you steal a base?
L2 does not work for me unless I hold it down before the pitcher begins his windup and I am caught dead every time.Tags: None -
Re: How the heck do you steal a base?
I thought the left stick was used to target the runner and L2 to steal. So I have a runner on first base, how the heck do I steal second?Comment

To cue it up, move the left stick to the right and hold it there while you press L2 and let go. The runner will take off when the pitcher starts his motion.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: How the heck do you steal a base?
When you hold L2, you have to wait for your controller to rumble. Once it rumbles, your runners (or runner if you've selected one with the left stick) will steal as soon as you release L2. So you have to watch the pitcher and make sure you don't steal before he makes his movement towards the plate. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure how to cancel a steal... Maybe just hold down L2, or hit R2? That's definitely something worth knowing, as well =PComment

Re: How the heck do you steal a base?
Does anyone else have the problem of trying to hit and run (or run and hit) and the runner always sliding into the base. I can't go 1st to 3rd because of this and if I pop up I can't always get the runner back to 1st. In previous years I could cancel a steal if I didn't get a good jump or at least retreat back on a pop up.Comment

I've had the same problem, runners slide into 3rd when I want them to (at least) make the turn towards home. This has probably cost me a few runsComment

Re: How the heck do you steal a base?
I have a problem with it on more than just hit and runs. I'm not sure if I'm hitting something or if its a bug, but the CPU slides in to just about every base. It's really bugging me and I can't find a setting the stop it!!! Any help? I'm using analog hitting. I have a feeling that may be triggering the slides. I never had a problem in previous games.
As for the slides, I'm not sure. I haven't had an issue with it, but I use timing hitting so maybe it is analog that's causing it.Comment

I can't select the runner with the LS because the LS controls the PCI. Is anyone else having that problem?Comment
