    Pure Analog hitting

    Do you have to specify power vs. contact like you do with timing hitting - if so how? Or is it just as simple as flicking backward and forward? Thanks for your help, coming over from xbox.

    Re: Pure Analog hitting

    You have to do it before the pitch.

    Square = power
    O = contact
    Doing nothing = regular swing

        You're welcome.

        Oh, and you should feel a slight rumble in the controller to let you know it's engaged.

          For real? I thought the square and circle for power and contact was removed on analog controls. I don't recall seeing the option on the screen when batting. Either way I'm hitting tons of homeruns using analog controls on veteran without selecting power or contact

            Yes, it's true. Load the game, turn off the controller, and then turn it back on. You will then feel the rumble confirmations when you press square or circle prior to the wind up.

              Yeah I didn't have the rumbles either until I just restarted my controller - do you have to do this each time you play the game or is it calibrated now?

                    Dumb question possibly but how does one turn off the controller?

                          Can't recall where I read it, I think it was in a blog, or it might have been a thread, but sure enough the timing windows seem to change when I use them

                          And, yeah, I agree about the homeruns. I'm starting to get into my power groove, and of all the homeruns I've hit so far, only about two or three of them came using the power swing.

                              all you do now is hold up on the right stick to bunt, or press up on the right stick at the last possible second for a drag bunt.
