Lag OFFLINE?

I'm having some issues timing my bat when playing offline (I don't play online). I'm playing on a Sony Bravia TV that's only a year old and supposedly one of the better TV's out there for gaming. I've set the TV to Game mode and also tried putting MotionFlow on high. This doesn't totally surprise me because The Show is a very fast twitch kind of video game with lots of fast movement. Anyone else have the same problem?

You may want to be a little more specific, the title of the thread indicates lag but your post just says you can't time it and those are separate things.

Turn off Motion Flow and any picture enhancements.

I'm really not trying to be difficult but you really need to try and be more specific with the issue you having along with settings you are using.



No one has expressed issues with offline lag thus far. You are the first.

If you want help troubleshooting, you need to give us as much info as you can and those goes beyond your TV and the settings you have on it.


Saying "I can't hit because of the lag" provides us with nothing we can use to help since it is clearly an isolated issue that you are experiencing.

I'm not so much looking for help troubleshooting as I am just checking to see if anyone has experienced similar problems with this game. The lag I'm experiencing is really only noticeable while hitting, but it's bad enough to just about ruin the game for me.

Turn off Motion Flow and any picture enhancements.

With this TV there is a Game mode. When it is on there is no option given for Motion Flow.

From what I've read there is a lag issue while hitting during online games, but I'm experiencing this lag offline as well.

Turning on "game mode" is the only fix I know of.

Are you just late on everything? Maybe try turning pitch speed down a notch or two and see if that helps. Also, if you are using analog hitting, you need to time your stride a bit earlier this year. I was slightly late on everything with my stride until i realized this year you have to start your stride earlier than previous years. As far input lag, you can check your model of tv to see how much lag it has on the display lag website. Just google tv display lag, it should be the first site on the list.

I just checked out that website and this particular TV is rated "Great" for lag, so I'm going to try turning down the pitch speed and see how that goes. Thanks for all your advice everyone.
