I am asking if anyone here believe that is true.Or do all hitting settings allow you to track the ball the same, no one better then the other.

Zone hitting.. Do you feel it allows you to track the ball better?
I have used timing hitting, since MLB Show existed. So i was watching people stream Show 14 on PS4 and on twitchtv.com. I was participating in just general chat while watching whoever was playing. A discussion got started about Zone hitting allows you to track the pitch better. The simple action of having to move the left stick makes it easier to track the ball. I am not here to say one way or the other because i have never used zone hitting. I have always had issues tracking the ball, but i still overcome that and win most games. I am willing to try zone if what was said had any truth to it.

Re: Zone hitting.. Do you feel it allows you to track the ball better?
Zone is harder for me. I end up chasing more pitches trying to track with the left stick. I use pure analog. Just time the stride and look for your pitch. Boom. Im surprised analog isn't more popular than it is or maybe I am just unaware if more people use it or not. It seems to represent hitting the most IMO out of all the hitting options. Plus when you get ahold of a long homerun with analog you feel like a boss lol.Last edited by caseyj622; 05-15-2014, 01:39 AM.Comment

I use zone with analog now and what it does for me is it allows me to foul pitches off I otherwise would whiff on..let's me get that extra reach. I use it mostly when I have two strikes.Favorites:
