Over abundance of head first slides into 1st base?

Sorry if this had been discussed already but is this something that can be fixed or are we stuck with it?

Just funny seeing my 250lb catcher sliding into first when he is out by a mile in the first inning of a game. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't mind seeing the animation in the 9th with a fast runner and a close play but this just happens way too much.

This is weird as I have not seen the CPU do it at all as of yet. A full month into my franchise.
    EDIT..
Just realized you said your catcher. Are you hitting the stick to slide? The only time mine slides into first is when I do it myself.

No not hitting any buttons. I get 4-5 slides into first a game it seems. All players not just my catcher. He'll the announcers have even referenced it in a game talking about how that's a good way to get yourself injured lol.

Edit: I do use pure analog hitting so if no one else is noticing this I guess it's possible I'm still holding forward on the stick after my swing and it's making me slide. I'll make a conscious effort to make sure I let go next game and see if that is the case.

You may have an issue with your controller or (I think it's in the PS4 version) the motion control sliding turned on in settings.
I have never had a player slide into first base on their own yet.

I edited my last post but good idea about the motion control I will check that out too.
