    Pitcher Ratings Question

    Quick question about pitcher ratings....

Does a higher BB/9 innings rating mean the pitcher will likely issue more walks or does it mean he has better control and will issue less?
The same can be asked of H/9 and K/9.
I've actually wondered this for several years but have decided to finally ask now.

Higher BB/9 = Better control and fewer walks. I think it's actually mentioned in the in-game strategy guide somewhere.

That's what I thought, but for some reason my last 2 games have me questioning this.
Playing against the Red Sox the CPU brings in Tazawa in 2 straight games.
His BB/9 rating is high 90's, yet in both games he was constantly behind and in several 3-0, 3-1 counts. I drew 3 walks in the 2 games, which made me wonder about this rating.

I think it has more of an influence in simming games. For playing games, individual pitch control is more of a factor.

But generally those ratings are similar, i.e. if high BB/9 expect high pitch control.
