    Hitting Question

I've been playing the Show for years, but I just started on this years recently and I have a question about hitting.

    The stride timing.

Should I just hit the exact same as last years? Or should I start way earlier like its telling me to? Do you notice a shortage of power with a certain way?

    Thanks for the help

Yes, Striding has changed and Striding how you would for past games will greatly affect how much power and contact you put on the ball. (I went 0-8 in the first two prospect games before realizing something was off)

Instead of striding "when the pitcher releases the ball" it now seems striding "when the pitcher starts accelerating forward" is the proper way.

Curious where it told you to stride earlier?

My strides are usually just late however, I don't think it affects my gameplay. It's all about the timing for me since I use Pure Analog hitting. I'd say if you keep doing what you've done in previous years and you found it to be a success then keep on trucking. I don't think i've ever got the stride just right in my 5 years of playing the show.

Sorry, I was referring to when I swing perfect (according to last year's game) and it tells me I'm late.

Oh okay, I thought maybe a tutorial tip popped up that I missed or something.

That's exactly how I figured out something was changed, though I had the Swing/Info thing turned off to start. After going 0-8 to being my RTTS, I turned it on to see what was wrong and noticed I was late striding on everything.

I'm new to the series so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I love pure analog hitting and got the stride timing down nicely. The key is to use the pitch feedback after each pitch. After some experimentation based on the constant feedback you'll figure out what works best.
