Am I missing something with some of these coaches? In my Mariners franchise, I've got two coaches who do NOTHING but negatives, stat-wise, to my players. Are there other stats that aren't shown that they benefit?
One of these guys is signed to a four-year contract worth something like $2.5 million, so if I want to kick his less-than-useless *** to the curb, I'd need to pay him a huge chunk of cash for the right to do so.
I don't really get how a coach could be an unalloyed detriment to the team, unless his last name started with the name "Valentine." But whatever, if I could get rid of him without breaking the bank. That they're often signed to multi-year deals is silly.
