2 areas where QC's are killing me

I like to throw first pitch strikes with whatever pitch has poor confidence. By doing this the pitch gains a little confidence with every strike and when I'm later in the game, I have all my pitches available to me.

    2. The running game. I can't steal because the count didn't usually allow me to.

Yeah, I still tend to get into 0-0 mode when I use Quick Count every once in a while. I'll get on a roll and end up giving up a walk because I was trying to be cute thinking it was 0-0.

What hurts me the most, though, is when I'm batting and I forget to look at the count. I'll watch a strike and realize that it was 1-2. Or I'll swing at a ball and realize it was 3-1.

Still, Quick Count keeps my interest in the game. In the past, I strayed from playing games in my franchise because they usually took so long to play. 2 games a day was pretty much my limit.

With Quick Count, I can easily get 5 of them in after work.

Yeah, the positives outweigh the negatives. Main one being that I can get a lot more games in and I can actually give up and take walks now, without QC my walk stats would be incredibly abnormal. Plus, playing more games more rapidly keeps me in tune with my franchise, I may actually finish a season with no simming now.

The positives of quick counts outweigh the negatives, but here are my negatives:

        1. Not enough 0-0 & 1-0 counts.

        2. Bullpen pitching change doesn't reset the count. Only way to bring a pitcher in with a clean account is to do "schedule to pitch" in the bullpen. Which doesn't work for mid-inning changes.

        3. I'd like the beginning of the game to start with a 0-0 count. Not a glitch, I just think the beginning of the game (first pitch for each pitcher) is important.

          1. The algorithm is such that there can't be any counts less than 2 pitches in (1-1 is the minimum)

          2. I find that if you mash the options button while the new batter is being announced, you can more often than not get the pitcher in before his count is generated.

          3. I agree.
