I do not use Power swing at all. In previous versions of The SHow I used contact swing only if it was a two strike count or if I needed a sac fly. But in 2014 I use it much more because it seems to be more effective than ever. I can even hit home runs on fastballs with contact on a regular basis. I could never do that before. Honestly, I think contact swing is too powerful right now and should be modified.

I play as the Yanks so I only use the power swing with guys like Tex, Carlos, Sori, and McCann when it's 3-0 or 3-1.
I only use contact with 2 strikes with guys like Ichiro, Gardy, and Jeter.
Everything else is normal swingS.O.S Crew

Re: When to use Power vs Normal vs Contact?
This is a weird subject for me. I use it more based on feel.
This year it feels like Power is less effective and contact got a boost. Last year I swung only power with every hitter. I wasn't trying to hit homeruns more than I was just trying to hit line drives. This year...no doesn't work that way. I notice a lot of deep flyouts with power on guys that don't really have much power. It seems harder to hit pure line drives with power.
Contact is great for putting the ball on the ground and for speedy guys. It is also works great with hit and runs and when you have 2 strikes on your guy.
Normal works great too and I still get plenty of homeruns with it.
I don't recommend Power unless your guy has 70+ power ratings. For guys like Adam Dunn or Chris Carter I still swing with power even with 2 strikes, unless someone is on 3rd with less than 2 outs.Comment
