    Check swings on non-analog digital

I just wanted to get some input from others to find out if timing or zone hitters were still able to easily check their swings.

I wasn't able to check a swing on timing hitting and am currently switching to analog but that could possibly be causing a problem on hit and run plays. The face buttons are apparently digital now so I am wondering if that is the issue or if it is just me?

    Thx.

I have had to turn off "Check Swing Appeals". It was calling strikes about 80% of the time. Checking replays was proving it wrong regularly. It seems to work right if you leave it in the hands of the home plate ump.

I use timing and I hadn't thought about the digital face buttons.

I did the same in previous years, turning off appeals did help. I am referring to the act of even being able to attempt to check on a swing I guess. If I hit X, it is swinging through.

I use Zone hitting and and use the buttons swing and I have been able to check my swing pretty well.

Same here, although every other or two games I will have one check swing that you can see through replay that I truly did not swing. I guess it's part of having it set with appeals on and calls not judged perfectly.

Happens in real life all the time. You can't tell me you've never seen a game where a batter lost a check swing appeal even though the replay shows they checked in time. It goes the other way as well.

This is not a comment directed at you, but I don't understand why people want a video game that is more perfect than the real life counterpart. To actually be realistic, the video game should contain all of the imperfections that baseball has.

Is this in Road to the Show? If so there is a stat you have to boost to improve your check swing chances.

Nope, not RTTS. Multiple players with multiple discipline ratings. I had no problems checking a swing in past iterations but didn't get any on the PS4 so I was wondering if it was just me? Now I'm wondering if all the respnses are from PS4 users and thinking about testing again.

I am having some inconsistencies with it. I was very good at checking my swing with buttons on previous installments of the show and MVP baseball on xbox/ps2.
