Most of the studs are blue chips and it is hard to find sleepers

Since bringing this up I did a draft last night to see how many really good sleepers I could find that were not blue chips. And found these guys:
      (overall/potential)

      Lincoln Wilson 1b 70/87

      Jesus Flores 3b 67/82 2nd rounder

Henry Cabrera sp 68/85 2nd rounder

ken spears rf 74/88 Best guy in the draft and went in the 4th round

      Rafeal Villasmil 3b 66/87 2nd rounder

Omar Ramirez sp 62/89 3rd rounder

Literally no good players to be found after the early 4th round. You can easily find a stud in the second round and possibly in the 3rd.

I scouted a CF with 92 potential and a 71 ovr. He was the last prospect I scouted before the draft, and I was shocked to see him available at the 25th pick, since he was the only prospect in the draft with a decent MLB ETA.

I've found quite a few "blue chip" type prospects when scouting.

I realize with the work done on the ps4 version this year developer time was limited but there some things about scouting which could be improved.

              • Pitchers are scouted for left handed or right handed. A better option would be to search for all pitchers based upon attributes regardless of left or right handedness.

              • Durability rating is not included in things which can be scouted for. I have seen generated prospects in the game with a durability of 0. An improvement would be to include durability in the attributes which can be scouted for.

A better explanation of what impact a scout staying inside vs going outside his region has on scouting would be beneficial.

True but I don't edit attributes.

And, I'm also a Missouri guy.

                    Re: Scouting - Offline Franchise

My Second Round Draft pick from the year one player draft during the 2014 season as the New York Yankees.

Darren Bailey, 3B, 22 years old, 71 ovr with a 90 pot. He also plays LF and RF. He is projected for a 2015 MLB debut.

                    His ratings are, 47,75,43,58, 69, 56, 77, 19, 9, 57, 39, 68, 60, 53, 68, 91, 76

He was NOT a blue chip prospect. So yes, blue chip type prospects can be found. Needless to say, he will be playing pro-ball in 2015, most likely behind Yangervis Solarte or Kelly Johnson.

I think I just found the worst draft class ever. I'm in the 2015 draft and only one guy has an MLB ETA of 2018 or sooner.

Also I found a guy in here with an MLB ETA of 2046. LOL wtf? Name is Cliff Fontenot. He is a D Pot SP 23 OVERALL. Lol idk man. I would rather have a soccer mom than him.

I had a bad draft in 2017. I only got guy with B potential. I had good scouts too, but none of them lived up to their potential. I just got guys with good ETA's since I had no other choice. Oh well....Houston is full of prospects and I really didn't need any more pitching projects.

But their ETA can change after you scout them though.

Yes, it could go up or down. (most likely down)
