Update on GIDP for me. I posted the above on June 3rd.

At the end of May in my franchise with the Rays and Phillies and both teams are still ranked 29th and 30th respectively in GIDP. Phillies are right around 50. It's insane.

Out of curiosity do you use QC's? Whenever someone says they don't have issues with it and they play aggressive on the base paths with hit and runs I always wonder if this issue is more prevelant when using QC's. Many times I'll get Adrian Gonzalez on first after a single but with his 13 speed and the QC's often putting me behind in the count to start there really is no way to hit and run, makes me wonder if that's helping to contribute.

        Yes, I use QC's.

I run a ton on 3-2. I feel good I can hit it into play or get ball 4.

I guess I'm not gutsy enough to do it unless there are 2 outs if the guy at second is slower then molasses. I'll have to start taking more chances and see what happens. You aren't seeing an influx in GIDP on your end at all?

I do think I was in the 20's in GIDP in the league and then I started to run on full counts more often. IMO that really helps me out. I seem to do a better job of focusing when I have that added pressure.

Yeah I've started to roll the dice a bit more just to avoid the double play. So far it has worked out pretty well other then the one time I swung early on a change and Uribe was thrown out with ease at 2nd base lol.

Through 28 games in my Giants chise and I've grounded into 35. One of the big factors as to why I'm near the bottom in runs scored.

In my double franchise with the Rays and Phillies both are still 29th and 30th in GIDP. It's getting ludicrous anymore. At least 2-3 EVERY game.

Although over my first 111 Franchise games I grounded into 109 DP's and the CPU grounded into 106 (I stopped tracking after that), which yes, is way too many; 2-3 per game is probably an overstatement, yes?

My personal opinion as to why this happens too much isn't because of the amount of times this scenario is present, it's the success rate at which they're turned.

CPU infielders still seem to be too good at executing DP's (I use Auto Fielding and Throwing, by the way).

This is definitely the issue. Throwing errors don't seem to be related to the difficulty of the throw.. they're more a result of random chance. The throws off the back foot after fielding to their back hand are way too accurate. That's a pretty difficult play in real life, but the success rate in the game is probably over 99%

This is a broader issue in the game. The throws are tethered so it's pretty easy to tell what throw will be online or offline as soon as it's released. I would love for there to be more variation instead of a canned animation of the throw and the reaction of the fielder.

Actually the average is a little over one per team per game so 2 per game is what you should be seeing, I'm not really seeing anything out of the ordinary.

The MLB average last season was 0.77 per team per game.
