I could be wrong but I don't think difficulty level makes a difference in how the CPU plays the outfield and I have seen probly about 15 cought balls on dives and like 2 jumping catches in the outfield on balls that would have hit the wall and I have only seen like 3 balls missed on dives so that is like 17/20 on dives and jumps so that is like a 85% success rate way to high. I think diffirculty makes a difference in how they pitch and how they hit and the differculty makes a difference in your timing window hitting but I don't think differculty makes a difference with fielding or with baseruning. The interesting thing is I find that with default sliders this years game doesn't play that while when it comes to fielding worse then the past few years but can be fixed or improved with sliders. On default it is just about inpossable to hit a ball over outfielders heads even with outfielder speed on 3 I have seen to many balls ran down man have to go down to 1. Also on default there are to many ears made to. I now have both fielding and throwing ears on 4 and may have to put them down to 3. So on default there are to many web gems but at the same time to many mistakes.

Re: CPU and divng catches?
Also, does anyone get the animation where on line drives or ground balls to the outfield the outfielder will go for the ball but then tumble over and let it go to the wall? This rarely happens in real life and it feels kind of cheaty when I get a triple out of what should have been a single.

Re: CPU and divng catches?
Yep, been an issue for years, it is a big issue that gets ignored. i find it happens often when runners are on, this along with scorched linedrive outs are a major issue. Seems that's how they game stays close, seems everytime I have runners on, Ump starts messing calls, they make a diving catch or it's always smoked right at someone, very frustrating.Comment

Re: CPU and divng catches?
Just played another game, bases loaded zero out. Bautista up hits a line drive right at third base. OK, next batter, line drive, shortstop dives, they get a double play...Stuff like this happens way too often especially with runners on, some games I end up with 12 hits and 2 runs from either ball hitting the pitcher, deflecting and them getting an out, then me smacking the ball with perfect contact only for it to be right at some, and then a diving play.
This happens in real baseball from time to time, it happens to me at least once every game, sometimes more then once it's maddening.Comment

Now back to the topic at hand, I've seen a few more dives and misses by the CPU finally but now it's the vaccuum fielding that's getting annoying. CPU brings the infield in, Adrian Gonzalez smashes one in the hole that would be a difficult play with them at normal depth let alone drawn in, yet somehow Votto vaccuums it up when he had no business touching it, inning over, I lose in the next inning 8-7.Comment

Re: CPU and divng catches?
after watching the sox-rays game tonight im no longer going to be upset by having occasional games of multiple diving catches/stops. Now if its happening 2-3 games a series ima throw somethingComment

Re: CPU and divng catches?
Not to get too off topic but wanna talk about frustrating? Try hitting into 4 double plays in the first 5 innings of a game lmao. I don't know what it is, pitch can be low, high, belt high, it always seems to result in a double play regardless. I've hit into 58 double plays in 65 games on the season, worst in the league.

Re: CPU and divng catches?
There are A LOT of diving catches in the outfield. Way too many in fact, and way too many by garbage players. Everyone seems to play like Trout in the outfield. It's pretty stupid.
Any way to turn this down somehow in sliders?Comment

Re: CPU and divng catches?
i would assume changing the fielding error slider would cause more failures on divesComment
