Is this a problem with anyone else? I've been taking pitches right down the middle of the plate because my batter sometimes won't swing when I tell him to! I guess its because I'm either not pulling back far enough, pulling back too early or late, or not pulling directly back (a little to far to the left or right). Any tips from vets who've had this same problem? I've been playing this game for only a couple weeks but this has really been getting on my nerves.

I still can't figure out what the hell is going wrong here. I'm going to have to get rid of this game because of this stupid glitch. During an average game I'll end up taking roughly 20 - 30 pitches a game because the batter just won't swing. It completely ruins it for me. ANYONE out there experiencing this same problem???? -

It happens to me once every five to ten games. I always thought it was me angling the right stick to the side.Comment

I'd rather not play the game at all than change to button hitting.
Yeah I thought maybe I was just pushing up the stick at a wrong angle but after trying to replicate that intentionally and not being able to do it I doubt that's the case.Comment

Had this problem too. Thought maybe it was my controller , but i had the same issue with a new one. Had to switch over to timing (which i actually prefer now). Could be that you are flicking upwards too hard, or flicking towards left or right slightly.Comment

It's a "check swing" glitch. Happens to me both on 13 and 14. The only way it seems to be able to rectify that is to give people an "option" to set check swings to "off".
However being that's not gonna happen, their analog batting system may need to gp the 2k route being this was an issue on 2k9 as well until they changed the analog batting engine. Analog hitting is relatively new to The Show and FAR from perfect.
It's a "bug" or in the least an engineering flaw. Try a Bug Report on the website and see what the developers say. That "can" be game breaking being it can frustrate people to tears and turn them off the game.Comment

The only time this ever happens to me is when I am wayyyy late on a pitch or completely fooled on a curveball. Happens maybe 1 or 2 times a series to me. Doesn't really bother me.Comment

Used to happen to me all the time on 2013, drove me nuts. I know you don't want to change since I was the same way , but this year I tried out zone hitting and absolutely love it. It took a few games to remember that I wasn't using the right stick anymore, but it's so much more challenging now.
