RTTS: Can't play in the all-star game

I'm in my second year in the majors and a notice popped up on my screen stating "You've been selected to represent the American League in the 2015 All-Star Game." I then press 'play next appearance' but it skips right past the ASG to my next regular season game. I'm not injured or anything. I actually saved it prior to the ASG, so I quit and reloaded it and tried clicking on the ASG in the calender but it didn't give me the option to play the game.

So, did the manager simply not play me in the ASG or are we unable to play in the ASG in RTTS mode?

Sorry if this question has been asked before. I searched the Q&A thread and I looked for similar threads but I didn't see anything.

The manager didn't put you in, it happened to me in MLB 13.

This year, the starters play the whole game for whatever reason, I've played in the all star game 4 years in a row, each time started and each time finished the game.

So i guess if you're not starting, you're not gonna play, therefore not getting the option to play in the all star game even though you've been selected.
