    CPU is about to win...

How do you know the CPU is about to win? This example is from the game I was just winning 4-0 and lost 5-4, but similar events have happened almost every game I have played.

    - Your pitcher couldn't hit the strike zone for anything until the CPU ties the game. Then he has pin point accuracy and strikes out the next 4 batters. I even pitched out of a bases loaded with no outs situation an inning later.
    - You get 8 straight hits (using zone) that are normal timing and solid contact that go straight to the 2nd baseman. Not kidding, it was 8 straight solid hits to the 2nd baseman.
    - Bottom of 9. CPU gets an infield hit when my catcher and pitcher bump into each other on a chopper back to the mound.
    - Runner then steals 2nd and for the first time in the whole game my catcher drops the ball before he throws it.
    - Base hit to the first baseman and the pitcher doesn't cover the bag.
    - CPU does a squeeze play and my catcher runs after the bunt when I have my 3rd baseman selected! Run scores - game over.

Most the games I play against the CPU I feel like I have no control over the outcome of the game. It gets pretty frustrating when your investing 1.5 - 2 hours per game.

Re: CPU is about to win...

After the last game i played i agree 100%, winning 3-0 over the hottest team in MLB, the A's, i gave up 4 runs in the 8th, 2 that came from back to back walks where my pitcher could not get anywhere near the sz. I then got 3 straight k's in the 9th. I did get a 2 out double in the 9th but couldn't get the run. My ranger's are now 7 games behind the A's who are on a 8 game streak.

But i have held small leads in games and gone on to win more times than i have blown a lead, doesn't make what happens above any less frustrating though.

This has happened to me the last four games I have played. There's nothing that can be done it seems. My last game it happened with two outs in the ninth. I should have taken a picture of the game log. Four straight plays where balls were deflected off fielders. couple of plays it happened to more than one player on the same play.

              I just won a game 17-4.

Did the game decide to take it easy on me that day?

Or how about when I lost 11-2. Did I miss my cues to come back?

I'm not saying anything like that because I know that subject has been beaten down already. I just get frustrated because I spend the game taking the time to plan a strategy for each at bat and each batter the pitcher faces. Then to have some really off the wall animations affect the outcome of the game just blows me away.

Kind of like the single down the line that turns into a double because the outfielder will hug the wall for a second. I watched a replay and my LF picked up the ball before the runner got to first, then ran toward and hugged the wall as the runner ran to 2nd. I see that stuff happening and then I read multiple posts complaining that the chalk on the batter box doesn't get messed up as the game progresses. Really?

I would rather lose 11-2 than lose by one run on a game deciding BS animation. Just sayin.

Sorry but we aren't having this discussion again.

I'm not downplaying or discounting your experience but we've had this discussions dozens of times each year and it just goes nowhere.
