Which is better the power hit button or the normal hit button or the contact? And What situations do you use them in? I'm a newbie...

i use r-stick but from what ive read contact swings are super broken strong atm

Normal is best for me. I use contact to help in fouling off pitches when behind in the count. Power, I rarely use.

I also heard that and have seen it first hand online but for whatever reason I don't hit anything even near the warning track using contact. I think the best I've done is lace a few into the gaps using contact but haven't hit a HR using it as of yet offline.

i tried using button swining in HR derby after i read this thread, with all 3 types i never hit a single ball in play lol. 10 outs 0 hr ><

I almost always use power button til I get two strikes. As a ballplayer growing up from little league all the way through college I was always taught, "take your best two cuts and don't get cheated."

I'm mostly getting deep fly outs with contact, pop ups with power and ground outs with normal! Getting my stride perfect is really hard this year...does it need fixing or have they changed it purposely?

Normal and contact when I'm behind in the count it helps me get to hard to reach pitches. I've hit home runs with the contract swing at times as well..power swing, never.

This is the first year I can finally hit the ball well. Probably just getting better after each game, it just seems so easy to pick up pitches than previous years. I'm no superstar at the plate but compared to the last couple I feel like one..

This is my first "Show" and I currently feel like the oposite of you. I can't hit if my life depended on it. I mostly use normal swing, contact if I am far behind, and power rarely. I can't seem to pick the ball up. Any tips???

I've been there..year after year somehow it just clicks all of a suddenly..as far as tips I'm not afraid of taking a strike anymore..that's but much of a tip but it had helped me a lot. I used to swing at everything because I couldn't tell if it was a strike or a ball..I tend to swing a bit later now .. make sure I get a good look before I make up my mind. So I foul pitches off a lot more until hopefully I get that pitch I can hit. That's really all I got..

The irony is I've hit way more home runs with a contact swing than anything else. I hit tons of home runs with power swing in warmups but come to think of it, NOT ONCE during a game, even when locked on to pitch type and location with perfect timing on a 3-0 pitch right down the middle.

Normal all the time, I get a huge variety from it, so dont feel the need to try the others.

Power or normal for most of my hitters. I use contact with guys that have no power like Altuve or Deshields where I just try to put ball in play or hit behind runner.
