Question About Super 2 in RTTS!

OK, so I was brought up on May 6th, and became an everyday starter, I had 500+ at bats and finished the season as the Rookie of the year.
The second season I led the NL in HR's 45 and BA .325, I won the SS for 2nd basemen, the Batting title, and the Hank Aaron award.
BUT, I DID NOT qualify for the Super 2?!?!?
And when I check my card it says I only have 1.147 years of MLB service?!?!
After winning awards in TWO seasons?
I know when I played last year, after two seasons I DID qualify, so does anyone know what gives? Is it a glich?

Not sure but a season of service time is 172 days and there are 183 days to a normal season..you had 1.147 which means the team successfully avoided you hitting super 2 status (you have some cut throat GM managing your time)

the number after the decimal are days, not a true fraction..much like innings.

Question About Super 2 in RTTS!

Check out the gm thread, I hope I did a good job explaining it; briefly, you need 2.140ish service time, not 1.140ish.

Tl;dr, you'll likely hit super 2 next year.

No, it'll be after your next season. You need ~2.140 to be a super 2.

My question about Super 2 status is do Super 2 players reach free agency a year sooner?

I don't believe that they do as I'm pretty sure a team is guaranteed at least 6 full years of control, but I was just curious if anybody knew for sure about this.

They do not. They still fall under the six years of control once they hit the major league level.

Super two is just for arbitration, it allows you to get away from getting league minimum a year earlier. and its anything over 2.0 years of service time not 2.140. so unless you play 2 full seasons from being drafted or manage 2+ years sometime in your third year you are eligible for super 2 (and as long as you are in the top 22%)
