    Re: Do You Celebrate?

I do celebrate (usually fist pumps or pointing at the screen), get frustrated, or let out a scoff on strikes called ball (full ball in the zone unlike last year when it's half a ball in the zone) when I pitch or the other around when I bat. But hey it's how it is in IRL, no umpires are perfect lol.

I laughed when I read this. Today, I thought I had a K to end the game. It was a strike, but "realism" killed me and the guy walked. I flipped the controller and my wife looked at me. I said, "That was strike three. Buncha BS."
Struck out the next guy to get the win, and gave an exaggerated K call like a look-at-me ump would do. Wife just shook her head.
But, mostly, I yell at my shortstop who sits back and allows an infield single, scream at my pitcher/catcher for taking eons to throw to first on a bunt, and give a fuming stare at every computer-controlled infielder that makes every freaking in-the-hole play, and every computer-controlled outfielder that has no issue robbing homers or making the outstanding look routine.
Basically, there is a lot of emotion coming from a 33-year-old man playing a video baseball game, and a lot of eye rolling from his wife.
"You guys pair up in groups of three, then line up in a circle."

Every time I hit a no doubter as soon as he makes contact and you can instantly tell it's gone from the HR cam I say "bing". I don't yell it or anything I just calmly say "bing". I wear headphones when I play and I didn't even realize I was doing it until my girlfriend asked me why I say bing all the time. Pretty sure she's gonna leave me. lol

Glad to know im not alone in this

On the flipside to celebrate I also swear and shout on the bad stuff.. .even point at the screen to a player that has annoyed me and have a go at him as if he is listening to me... I know its just a computer sprite, but sometimes you just got to let go when you dribble into a double play to end an inning.

I don't get too excited but I do celebrate big plays like homeruns I will yell out a lil hell yeah or yea Bytch every now and then lol.

But when its going bad for my 2nd baseman hitting I get so serious and pissed after every strikeout I have a serious potty mouth when my guy is slumping

Lol, I've never really put much thought into it, but yeah, I do a strange amount of talking to the players in this game.

I'm currently batting a little over .100 with BJ Upton, and I never miss a chance to tell him what a piece of **** he is whenever I strike out with him.

I also give out a lot of "atta boys" after good ABs and tell my batters good eye after working a walk.

Fist pump on plays like key homers or a good defensive play. Make the "safe sign" when I beat out a throw and the out sign on close plays at first when I'm fielding. I get angry at the umps and stuff too.

Does a bear **** in the woods? Heck yes I get down on the good ones, just like I freak the hell out when thinks go bad. When the wheels falloff in an inning my controler has been know to scream not me not me.

Every time my RTTS CF hits a homer, I get up off the couch, and fist pump all the way to my bedroom and back, usually saying stuff like, "One day y'all gon' respect the swing!!" or something similar

This game definitely has intense moments.

Absolutely lol. I know that I AM the one making all the decisions, but I go with the mindset that all my players are acting on their own , it's better like that.

When I get called a third strike that I don't like I always yell at the ump LOL, or when my player is running down the line to first base and I get call out on a bang bang play, I just shout "WHAT?!?! THAT'S SAFE YOU ***** ** *** ** ** "

One intense moment I had was yesterday.. Playing my Yanks franchise.. Against Boston, it cost me like hell that game... Took the lead 5-4 in the bottom of the 8th... 9th inning, David "Houdini" Robertson comes in for the save... first pitch = Napoli hits a HR to RF.

I yelled the crap outta DRob lol

Once in awhile I'll do commentary alongside the guys in the game. Whenever I hit a home run or make a nice play, I'll catch myself making the crowd noise "aaahhh" "ohhhh" "yeaaaah" lol. Ridiculous. I don't even know I'm doing it. I guess that means I'm into the game!

Haha yall are freakin nuts!! But i love it., because that just means im not alone lol. I dont know how many times ive yelled at the stupid virtual ump for calling a strike ball four. Or screaming at middlebrooks for just plain sucking lol. Or walking away from the tv because my shortstop doesn't realize there's a man running to first and to hurry up and throw the dang ball stop patting it like a damn qb. But ive also celebrated my no hitter with my arms raised in a thankfull prayer to the baseball gods or jumping out my seat with a hellya suck it yankees after my walkoff bottom of the ninth hr by boegarts lol. So ya i get a little into it lol
