    Re: Do You Celebrate?

Just like everyone else I celebrate but usually do it quietly. silent fist pumps usually but lately I've gotten in the habit of doing something like a bat flip with my controller onto the couch.

What I am not quiet about is the cursing umps, pitchers, hitters. Last night I tried to start a fight with the virtual umpire. Usually if the ump misses a call I just yell out "are you ****ing kidding me?" or "really?" but sometimes I go Earl Weaver on the TV

honestly, if my wife sits down and watches me play, she will cheer for my team.

Not to get off topic, on the whole wife thinking I'm nuts for getting emotional while playing, I should video tape her giving Lara Croft a tongue lashing while playing Tomb Raider because she didn't do what my wife instructed her to do. LOL

Heck yeah, I do. Threw my first perfect game last night and was jumping up and down when the final out was recorded.

I definitely celebrate. In my franchise with the cardinals, I was tied with the brewers and reds entering september (I play every game by the way with no quick counts). I play them each 7 times that month and I've been emotional every game so far.

Sometimes when I get a big home run I'll quickly stand up and walk around with my chest out a little. I'll do some hard fist pumps too.

On the other end of the spectrum, I will punch the couch and couch pillows, respectively. I'm on my second controller now, half of which i melted plastic together to repair. It's still hanging in there! I will also curse out loud and yell at my players if they are struggling. My girlfriend hates it, but I can't stop playing!!

I celebrate big outs, home runs and wins almost always.

When I get a bad call, I will just swear/scream at the ump.

The only thing I do is when I get a big strike out or double play to get out of a jam I do a tiger woods fist pump lol.

I may have went a little nuts the other night. In the bottom of the 15th inning vs Cleveland, Giancarlo Stanton (I acquired him from Miami) hit a 3 run walkoff HR.

                        Re: Do You Celebrate?

On no doubt HRs, I flip the controller. On Ks, I say "Got him" in a Duane Kuiper-like tone (sort of a low tone).

I get all into it. I may as well have on gloves between pitches, because I'm always acting as if I have on hitting gloves after a pitch, or after I get on base. I put my hand up after a steal or a XBH (to signal 'time' to the ump).

In my RTTS, I celebrated yesterday after we beat the Cardinals in NL Wild Card tiebreaker game.

I'm completely normal, folks. Completely. NORMAL.

As a Cubs fan, i am thankful if i make it through 9, but if it IS a win, i sim to the next game with a quiet "whew"

Yeah I really get into the game while playing my RTTS CF. On HR's I hit usually I'll say "GONE"! OR "Get out" followed by a fist pump. I catch myself flipping the controller after striking out on a nasty slider or a curveball in the dirt or making "safe" signs on close plays at first or stolen bases. But my favorite moments come from making amazing diving catches or making catches at the wall/robbing HR's. I'll jump out my seat yell "ohhhhh" and hit the replay to add it to my highlight reel. And on top of that when I resume the game sometimes I see the computer player shake their head, or even better return to the dugout clearly frustrated and throw their helmet against the wall.

I don't do too much out of anger except for shake my head or say a couple cuss words under my breath but I'll celebrate with no trouble. I'm big on clapping, talking to my players saying "good eye!" when a batter makes a good decision at the plate and "get out! " when a batter hits one out for me. I love giving a fist pump after a win as well.
