    Hold your finger a little further away from the swing button before a pitch you want to hit the other way.

    I do this and it works very well for me.

        I think it may be easier with certain players. Can't recall which attribute it is, but one affects timing window. If you are just a little late with a bad hitter it may result in a chopper or foul, but the same timing with a good hitter results in a opposite field hit. Vision maybe? I know Markakis hits well to the opposite field and he has the highest vision on my team.

          I spray the ball around the field pretty evenly. For some reason though the spray charts don't seem to do anything for some guys. I hit the ball the other way a lot with Evan Gattis, even though he is a pull hitter (I rake with Gattis in general for some reason).

          If you're just having trouble with jumping out in front of pitches try fiddling with the Pitch Speed and Human Timing sliders until you find a combo that you like.
