Instead of starting out with a three game showcase and playing AA. start off playing T-Ball and than coach pitch, kids pitch and so on. complete four years in high school. while in high school have actual quizzes and if you fail you will miss a few games, cause no pass no play. Than you go on to the showcase after you played a few traveling tournaments as a young kid. If you choose to go to college it will be like high school, except the quizzes are more challanging. Eventually you will make it to the big leagues.

Re: MLB 15 Road To The Show Wishlist
Someone should make an over the top T-Ball/kids pitch video game that's filtered through the mind of a child. Kid steps up to the plate and suddenly he's in an exaggerated version of Fenway park with a literal green monster in left field. Or he becomes a super buff hall of fame hitter or King Kong, etc. Playful game in the style of those arcade sports games they used to have but have now vanished.Comment

Re: MLB 15 Road To The Show Wishlist
I realize I am in probably in the minority, but, let me pick night games for every game....I don't enjoy playing games where I can't pick up the ball and I don't want to sim. I really think to sacrifice some realism there should never be anything light colored in the batters eye or behind the pitching meter. For instance, the light blue colored part of the upper deck in Safeco...
I pretty much only play RTTS and I hate day games. Call me Josh Hamilton...In real life I have to wear sun glasses on cloudy days....Comment

Re: MLB 15 Road To The Show Wishlist
Would really add more to the game if the fans could chant our nickname or Name when we come out to bat/pitch. Something similar to the Wilson chant Nats fans do whenever Wilson Ramos is up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbebauOjsFw or If our player plays for the Yankees it would be cool to hear our players name when the bleacher creatures do their roll call https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs628v1_z-A I know this would be hard since there a lot of names and lines to record.Comment

Re: MLB 15 Road To The Show Wishlist
The things I'd like in MLB 15 RTTS.
1. Storymode (Not like 2K, I just think it would be cool if you'd be able to have postgame interviews, or press conferences announcing you've been retired or will sign with a new team, and if I could retire a year early so it would talk about it during the game.)
2. Twitter/News (This has been needed for a long time, where it would talk about players traded, injured, or breaking records)
3. Use any number (Although it would take away the realism, I'd have more fun if I got to play for my favorite team and use my favorite number even if it was retired, or I could have a competition with a player for there number.)
4. Requests (It would be awesome if during the offseason, you could talk to the GM about signing or trading for a player.)
5. Retirement (It would add a lot to our RTTS if after we retired, we could be made the Manager or Owner of the team.)Comment

Re: MLB 15 Road To The Show Wishlist
Biggest things I'd like to see is teams using up and coming players like up and coming players. There isn't a team in the MLB that calls up a rookie and has him ride the bench all the time only coming out in pinch hitting spots. They'd let him stay in AAA, starting and getting consistent playing time. I should only be called up when I can actually get significant playing time. If the game has it where I'll sit in the bench of 8 or more games, send me down, let me play some ball in the meantime.
Because in that time, I'm failing the player goals because I see one at-bat a week almost.
I'd also appreciate the game not having me get called up right before an All-Star game.Comment

Re: MLB 15 Road To The Show Wishlist
I probably mentioned this before, but 2k's "Signature Skills/Badges" feature would be an interesting implementation
For example
If your RTTS player shows consistent performance in late inning situations in the RS or the playoffs, he should obtain a "clutch" attribute boost or whatever that increases the probability of a hit in innings 7-9 in a tie game or when trailing.
Conversely, if your player has the habit of grounding into double plays with RISP or runners on base, he should attain the "Rally killer" badge that lowers his contact ratings when runners are on base. The badges should be dynamic, so that your performance determines what badges you posess.University of Southern California '19

Re: MLB 15 Road To The Show Wishlist
I want to see the concept of "potential" and "skill" reworked. Young ballplayers all possess lots of "talent" right from the get-go, however they rarely posses the "abilities" to use them from the start. I think a players main skills should be reduced to he 5 tools (Running, arm strength, average, power, and fielding). The 5 tools are raw talents that are in near full possession from the start and really only change with age or injury. Just because a player has these talents does not mean he is able to use them. This is where skills and abilities come into play (hitting righties/lefties, line drive probability, plate vision, patience, baserunning vision, etc). These skills and abilities dictate a players fulfillment in particular talent. They can fluctuate a lot depending on minor league development time, coaching, chemistry, and prolonged slumps.
This system of talent and potential will make minor league management a LOT more important. You will have to figure out who's ready and who's not for call up. It also makes it possible to profile what role a player will have in the future. One players talent potential might show he's best suited to leadoff, another hitter projects better and slugger, while different player is more of a defensive wiz, and so on. A players development won't deviate much from their potential template and gone will be the days where Jose Reyes suddenly has the ability to bang out 46 home runs.Comment

Re: MLB 15 Road To The Show Wishlist
Sorry for the double post, but I forgot to mention I also wanted to see players have intangible skills too. These skills would affect their teammates more than themselves for better or worse. I would like to see Attitude, Work Ethic, and Leadership as the three intangible assets. Attitude affects teammates current abilities, Work Ethic affects skill development, and Leadership affects clutch situations and streaks.Comment

Re: MLB 15 Road To The Show Wishlist
If there is no way to export roster files from 14 to 15 there is no way I'm buying this game. I've spent over 500 hours creating and editing my roster if I'm forced to re-create the entire thing i'm not buying 2015.
Also, if they haven't made significant strides in the trade and player progression i'm skipping this year. Every year they say they have tweaked the trade logic and every year it is just as bad as the previous year. There's an easy fix.. Give us the option in rtts of turning trade's off!!! This may sound unrealistic, but what is even more unrealistic is that each team is unrecognizable two years into your rtts. Don't make us start as an 18-22 yr old let us start whatever age we want to. I know create a team or uniform editor outside of stupid DD is out of the question so I won't even ask. I don't understand why that is not an option yet.Comment

Re: MLB 15 Road To The Show Wishlist
1. I believe the equipment needs to be touched up mainly the cleats. When are brand name companies's products like Nike, Mizuno, Under Armour, Oakley going to have their equipment added into the game? Mostly due to costs and liscensing this are hard to do, but i would like to see these as well, and even like NBA2k, Get endorsements from them.
2. Some kind of storyline added into RTTS would be a great addition. Interviews, pre-game and post-game cut scenes just like 2K's infamous MyCareer mode. As long as it does not take away from the amazing gameplay that is. Agreed with this as well. As well as a way to spend your salary, buy a car, house, clothing, equipment
3. Will we ever have the ability to load a roster after starting a Franchise or RTTS? Meaning I would not have to re-start just because I want to use the most up to date roster. I would like to see real time trades, like lets say the Mariners trade Smoak to the Blue Jays for Encarniacion it would happen in game as well.
4. A first person camera option should be given to us. Agreed as well
5. Also, how about giving us the ability to control one player in game instead of controlling the entire team? Kind of an RTTS capability but that would work for Exhibition games Franchise etc. This would allow people to control their favorite player and play a season/game with only control of them when playing. Kinda of already have this. In league mode you can select a player to use. Cant remember what the its called, but i have used it.
6. Face scan for RTTS is a must. Not needed, but would be cool
7. Single-A teams I believe need to be added by now. I have been waiting for years for this to happen. Absolutly
8. The trade logic needs to be worked on. SERIOUSLY. THE GM'S LOGIC (TRADES, ROSTER MOVES) HAS BEEN HORRIBLE FOR TOO LONG. Not agreed, but seems ok
9. FOX or MLB Network broadcast overlays would be lovely. or the layout for each teams tv local. Like Root Sports, Nesn, etc
To be continued..Comment

Re: MLB 15 Road To The Show Wishlist
In RTTS I watched the Astros let George Springer walk for nothing. They still had 6 years of club control. He was still in AAA, they could have renewed his contract for peanuts. He was making 80k, they could renew for 90% of that. This is a 24 year old with B potential who was rated a 76 at the time. No matter how many times I quit and reloaded the save file, every time I would progress through the offseason they would let this young, cheap, highly rated prospect just leave. And then sign a right fielder in free agency who cost 10 times as much, with C potential and rated 10 points lower. That same offseason we also let multiple other good, 70-75 rated, B potential prospects walk for nothing.
I've also seen more ridiculous trades than I care to name. One off the top of my head, from the same RTTS file, we traded
Carlos Correa (#1 draft pick, A potential shortstop. 20 years old. Top prospect in the entire organization)
Another high drafted A potential shortstop we drafted the next year
Another B potential prospect (can't remember which position)
for 29 year old, 70 overall Eric Young Jr.
That's just one example of many. Even the most head-scratching trades in real life (Gattis trade for example) don't come within 10% of the idiocy of that trade.
So yeah, what I'm saying is I agree roster logic (free agency/trades) needs a lot of improvement.
The worst thing is that they took out the manual injuries in RTTS, that used to be the one counter measure for stupid roster moves, so you could keep things fairly realistic. Simply reload save, give a guy a migraine or something, injured players can't be traded, problem solved. Probably my #1 request for RTTS in MLB 15 is that they put manual injuries back in lol. Pretty pathetic that my #1 wish is they put back a seemingly simple feature that they already had 2 years ago.Comment

Re: MLB 15 Road To The Show Wishlist
Yeah the trading is just so broken. There are WAY too many trades, especially in online franchise. Also for CPU controlled teams in online franchise it seems they dont recognize when they fill a need for a trade and they just keep acquiring players to fill that need. I saw a team trade for like 5 short stops within a couple of sim periods. Offline franchise is terrible too, the logic is broken and there are way too many trades there too.Comment
