Re: MLB 15 Road To The Show Wishlist

I want contextual baserunning options in RTTS...

If I'm a base-stealing machine, I want to be able to read the pitcher and go on the right count from first. But, once I get to 2nd, I have to go into the options and select 'half' on teammate batting. Even then, I have to watch the rest of the at-bat before it kicks in.

If I hit a leadoff triple, I'm stuck watching for the rest of the inning, mostly. Usually, there's a 5-7 pitch walk, strikeout or popup to endure during this period. Since I'm a speedy baserunner at 3rd, it's pretty obvious how little I need to be able to score... especially with 2 outs. So, why does the game punish me for simming when I get on 3rd? I don't get credit for tagging up, scoring, getting in scoring position, etc when I sim, which needs to be fixed.

Re: MLB 15 Road To The Show Wishlist

I mentioned this in another thread and I wanted to see what you guys thought of it. I'd like to be able to have some kind of jersey creator or editor in the same mold as the one in Diamond Dynasty. There have been a lot of times where I've thought a team would look better if they made small tweaks in their jerseys. I've always wanted to see the Orioles wear orange undershirts/socks and the Rockies wear purples undershirts/socks, the Rangers put their team name back on their home jerseys, among many others. Ideally this would include every single wordmark, logo, patch, striping pattern, name/number font, and cap pattern that every team has ever used since the beginning of the modern era and allow the player to change the colors. It would slightly add to the realism of the fact that teams do change their uniforms on occasion. This could apply to minor-league teams as well. Is there any way they'd be allowed to do this?

Other things I'd like to see:
      -Single-A teams
      -A few more minor-league stadiums
      -Many more classic major-league stadiums
-I want to be able to choose what batting helmet the team wears
-Being able to have more "set" line-ups so that, if you're simming, and the computer decides that a player needs a day off, it chooses a line-up that doesn't have that player in it
-Stadium select be available in franchise mode
      -Fully customizable Schedules/Leagues/Divisions
-Being able to start a franchise in a past year
-Being able to simulate individual at-bats in a game
-Being able to use special characters (apostrophes, dashes, letters with accent marks) and spaces in create-a-player
-I haven't bought the game since MLB 09 on PS2, so maybe this has been fixed, but on that game if I put a player on the 15-or-60-day DL, I had to put him back on the DL if his 15 or 60 days were done and he was still hurt. I would like to be able to just keep him on the DL until he's recovered.
-The return of "Sounds of the Show"
-An option to turn off the wildcard play-in game

More cleats, more gloves (option to wear them when baserunning). More HR animations, running styles, throwing styles, accessories, tape options, everything.

Dynamic jerseys, as in, they shouldn't get dirty in the same way after the designated amount of slides every game. Weather should be accounted for, how they slid should be account for (more sliding and diving animations as well).

More swing follow throughs and batting strides should be more fluid and less jumpy.

In RTTS, computer generated guys that come up from the minors should no longer wear the 2 flap batting helmets. (Well... a few is fine because I know a few players do wear them, but definitely not all of them or even close to all of them)

Proper field colors and decent grass cutlines. More lush foliage and atmosphere. More stadium detail and higher-res textures everywhere. Better animations.

            That is all.

I agree with a lot of the previous comments regarding more shoe/equipment options, being able to choose your team's uniform before the game, and seeing league-wide transactions.

I also would like to be able to see every team's roster when I'm a free agent so I can make the best choice on which team to go to. Unless I'm seriously missing something, I cannot tell who are my potential teammates until I sign with a team.

I also want the logic fixed so that if I'm not the starter at a position as a 19 yr old coming out of spring training, I'm sent back to AAA to play every day rather than sit on the bench and get 20 ABs the first 2 months of the season.

I haven't gotten to free agency yet, but... assuming the game doesn't completely morph into something different the minute you hit free agency, you can always look at rosters in the offseason. As well as the transactions that all 30 teams have made.

                  1. Energetic (sprints on walks, chatty attitude on 1B after getting a hit)
                  2. Stoic (Shows little emotion, "respects the game")
                  3. Cocky (pimps home runs, beats his own chest after key hits)
                  4. Fiery (gets upset when making errors, riles up teammates)

At first, the traits are less exaggerated (in minors, etc) Once certain career milestones are hit, deeper traits could be unlocked or chosen, like a skill tree. For example, once reaching the majors the Energetic player could have the option to "knock heads with 1B coach after a single" or unlock signature fist pumps when hitting a double.

I think it could be built upon over time (pitchers throw inside at cocky guys after they pimp a big homer, etc).

I love this idea. This game desperately needs some personality. Nothing cartoonish and over the top, but something that makes it feel less robotic and lifeless. In addition to personality traits, I'd love to see traits that affect play style. Not just in RTTS but across the entire game, make it part of the player's "DNA." This would help greatly to distinguish players and add more character and individuality, because the way a guy plays on the field is more than just a number. Traits can be unlocked using your skill points in RTTS, and in franchise they would just be assigned logically to existing players, and players that enter through the draft can be assigned some basic ones and earn others as they go on (based mostly off their attributes). This has been done in Madden and NBA2K and probably other games.

Just to give an example of what I mean by distinguish players beyond their attributes: Jose Abreu hits homers at a higher rate than Giancarlo Stanton this season. 12.8 AB/HR to 15.3 AB/HR. Realistically both of them should have 99 power in MLB 15 The Show. They are both great sluggers. However, Stanton's average HR distance is over 20 feet longer than Abreu's. Stanton has 6 homers of 450+ feet this season and Abreu has 0. Abreu hits a lot of homers, Stanton hits MONSTER homers (and still a lot of homers). So, this can lead into my 1st suggestion:

                  1. Tape-Measure Shots. This player has a tendency to hit monster homers. Doesn't mean that he's necessarily hitting 50 a year, HR frequency is still tied to your power attributes. But when this player does get a hold of one, it's probably going a long, long way. To read me go off on a tangent about this, click the Spoiler text lol.
                  Spoiler

                  2. Gapper. This guy hits into the power alleys like its his job. His line drives have a tendency to get just over the SS or 2B's head.

                  3. Take Your (Extra) Base. This guy is always stretching singles into doubles, and doubles into triples.

                  4. Howitzer. Cannon arm that can throw guys out on a frozen rope. This guy is more likely to ignore the cutoff man and throw directly to a base to try and nab the runner. (I hate to go off on another tangent here but, guys with 99 arm power in the game do NOT throw like it. I've never seen a right fielder burn a guy at 3rd base with a low-flying missile. The guys with huge 95+ arms are indistinguishable from the guys with "solid" arms)

Those are just the first 4 that popped immediately into my head, I'm sure I could think of a dozen more if I thought about it, and I'm sure the developers could come up with better ideas than me. I didn't even try to think of pitching-related traits yet but I'm sure you guys could help me out on that.

I like the idea of player personalities and/or back stories that would manly alter a handful of cutscenes, animations and announcer V.O.

Some possible Backstories: (some of these could be combined)
Son of Baseball Legend - lives in the shadow of his father, trying to build his own legend through out his career.
Rags to Riches - This guy pulled himself completely up by his bootstraps. He's an underdog, rocky-type.
The Natural - This guy was born with a god given gift. Everything has come easy to him.
The Professional - Wasn't born with the greatest abilities but he's worked his butt off to gain his baseball skills.
American Sweetheart - The consummate nice guy. Think Cal Ripken, Derek Jeter or Roberto Clemente. The guy is a sweetheart and a team player.
The Showboat - He's a superstar and he knows it. He could have flashier fielding animations (basket catches, diving grabs, glove tosses, etc.) He flips his bat the second he makes contact on a home run.

Could be cool to add a little more flavor. Nothing as big NBA 2k though.

Re: MLB 15 Road To The Show Wishlist

I know it goes against what RTTS is, but if the game isn't going to give your a smarter and more reactive manager, I wish you could do something to alter your team's lineup or something. Two seasons in a row now my RTTS teammate Mike Minor has had awesome seasons, winning the Cy Young in 2016 and in the top three for 2017 yet he is still number 3 in the rotation which is all fine and good until the playoffs come around. He needs to be a Game 1 starter so I can get him on the mound possibly 3 times in a 7 game series. Then the lineup logic is goofy. Through my 2016 season my player who is a 2B started every game until September because of the bench players. I didn't mind starting every game, I had the durability for it, but the reason I started them all was because of the lineup logic. My bench was a catcher, a 1B, and outfielders. So my player at 2B, and my team's SS and 3B started every game of the season until the September expanded roster went into affect.

                      Atlanta Braves
                      - Auburn Tigers - Nashville Predators

I think you should have the option to be a long RP or setup guy.

When you get promoted as a SP why do you always get put in as the number 5 starter, why not change it up a bit. Some teams I'm on teh SP is horrible.

Why do newly created players before the showcase start as a rated in the 50's? Why can't I be a superstar rated 75-80? Maybe rate on what position you're drafted..

Why can't I be a player drafted in the 31st round?

1.) Post Game Interviews are a must in every career mode imo

                            2.) GM/Coach interactions/conversations

4.) Like 2K use to do when they would ask for 5 players u would like them to trade 4 B4 the deadline

                            Whats on your wishlist?
I agree with all of these. I think it would make franchise a lot more fun if there was some sort of a news panel that showed with like the latest rumors buzz and any speculation regarding certain teams. I think it would give it a more authentic feel.

I also feel like the fielding could be cleaner and smoother. I feel like it is rather choppy at times and I also feel like some of the animations make the play too close or even involve a runner to be safe when he should have been routinely out.

The problem I see with post game interviews and GM/Coach interactions is there is only so much you can do. With what NBA2K did, it got repetitive and boring the longer you did it. As far as requesting players get traded, that's not baseball. No GM will get rid of a player because you suggested it. It's not realistic.

At least that's my take on it..

1.Bring back the newspaper clips 2. RTTS: Have agents or at least someone to help you with your contract's ect, 3. Give us something to spend our hard earned money on like equipment , personal trainer to earn more training points , ect. 4. After you reach a certain progression level or for each level maybe equipment upgrades or training points ect.
