It really is upsetting to see that nothing has been changed since launch. We had a small update that didn't change anything noticeable two weeks after launch, but otherwise nothing. I know patches can take time, but we're talking a month after release and still nothing has been fixed. Is there a way to get word from somebody with knowledge to give us answers as to what's taking them so long? It's beginning to become unacceptable and we deserve to have a game be updated on first priority, especially considering it being the first on the new console.

Pretty upsetting...
Out of all The Show games to come out over the years, I believe that we can all fairly agree the this year's version for the PS4 was the most anticipated one of them all. While the release brought forth a game that we all (or at least the majority of diehard fans) come to love. However, we all also know that the game is hampered by numerous glitches that need to be fixed to make it more polished.

I'm confident that there will be at least one more patch and that we can expect great things from this title in the future.
Just my thoughts. -

The only thing I find really annoying is the same sign wielding fan shown during the lineup introduction screen every damn game. Come up with some new material, sign boy!Comment

Re: Pretty upsetting...
I really don't think this year is all that different other than the later release skewing the timeline. The game usually has numerous bugs and glitches (mostly minor) and it usually takes a bit for a significant fix to come forth, since the team usually takes a bit of time off post-release (also allowing data to collect) before banging away at a fix for gripes and starting on another great game.
I think some of the frustration for some this year comes from a) unmet "next gen" expectations (reasonable or not) and b) a later release, which makes any wait seem worse since it digs deeper into baseball season. Don't get me wrong, I want to see some things fixed as well (I already posted my frustrations with some of the bugs I've experienced as well as my longing for a patch), but I also understand that our timeline this year is, unfortunately, a bit different.Comment

Re: Pretty upsetting...
Agreed. I really love the game but I'm surprised by the very slight upgrades even in a transitional year. Waiting on a patch has become annoying as well. I know that things take time and the devs take a well deserved short break after release, but the game is hardly playable for me with analog fielding due to this extreme sensitivity. This year on the PS4 seems like a very clean very polished version (albeit not perfect) of the game that we all fell in love with. Next year I expect some serious changes to the presentation, commentary and even graphics. With another year under these devs belts I expect to be blown away.Comment

The lack of post-launch patching has been my biggest letdown. I STILL have to redo my custom cameras every time I turn on the Show. It's laughable really. I've dropped over 700$ on a FTP game and i'd gladly do the same with the Show if they would actually figure out how to monetize this game to get themselves set up to be able to really make this game exceptional. They've been riding the gravy for 4 years now.Comment

Re: Pretty upsetting...
Seems like the OP could have just been posted in the Impressions thread, since that's what it basically is.
But to say they've been riding the gravy (whatever that means) for 4 years? Not buying it. That to me insinuates a roster update and nothing more, which is just not true. They're constantly adding new animations, new features, and/or enhancing what is already there. I get that there are some areas that need to be addressed and no, I don't think the game is perfect. But I do believe that these guys care more about the product they put out than a lot of other annual releases. And I think that if there are parts of the game the gamers aren't happy with, they more than likely aren't happy with them either.

Re: Pretty upsetting...
They really should tone this down alot.
Also playing OF in RTTS, it's incredibly annoying when they do those nonchalant animations when trying to throw someone out.NFL : Atlanta Falcons
MLB : Toronto Blue Jays

Re: Pretty upsetting...
I wholeheartedly agree with your point on the pride that the devs take in this game. As a result in my opinion it's clearly the best and most realistic sports game out here. To some extent I think the Show is a victim of its own success. It's so good that sometimes it may raise unfair expectations. The PS3 has been maxed out and there isn't much more that can be done on that system. New hardware brings new expectations though. I think I was expecting something at least slightly different than what I've been playing the last 6 or so years. Not to take anything away from the game because it's excellent, but it's largely the same. Like I said before I think this year was to familiarize themselves with the hardware and next year I expect to say "WOW"!Comment

Re: Pretty upsetting...
This is one of the main reasons I decided to skip this years The Show. I thought MLB 13 for the PS3 was a fantastic game, by far the best The Show, as it should be. They fixed a lot of the main glitches and drastically improved the ball physics. It's why I am still playing it. I took maybe 2-3 months off from it in the winter, but now I am back at it.. hooked again and confident I am finally going to have a full 15+ year career in RTTS.
Still having a blast and saving a ton of money (one of the other main reasons I skipped the PS4/MLB 14 this year. Hoping to have the price for the PS4 drop and by that time a lot of the bugs will be fixed with this game.Denver Broncos
