Does anyone play timing hitting on upper levels of difficulty?
All-Star or above. Just wondering what your team ba is after 20 plus games?
Many thanks.Tags: None -
Re: Does anyone play timing hitting on upper levels of difficulty?
It's the only way I can hit. I am not skilled enough to handle any other mode. Ha. With some slider tweaks, my stats are usually pretty realistic. I don't have them in front of me but after 80 games or so Tulo is hitting .297 with 22 HRs, CarGo is around .315 with 17 HRs. I think Morneau is also above .300, like .302 or .307.
But I always strive for realism and have been happy with my timing hitting.
My team BA is around .250, high .250s, like .257

Re: Does anyone play timing hitting on upper levels of difficulty?
Thanks, I am pretty much the same as it being the only mode I can really use. I have had dynamic difficulty on and cant get out of rookie mode. That is with a few slider tweaks in my favor mind you and using the yankees. I just could'nt imagine anyone being able to use a higher difficulty with it. About 40 games in my team ba is around 250. I had to notch solid hits up a notch , contact up 2 notches and timing up one. I have pitching on AS and I am getting some great games so I guess its no sin to play at rookie.Comment

Re: Does anyone play timing hitting on upper levels of difficulty?
Difficulty is relative. And for each player it will be different. I agree, as long as your getting good, competitive games and your numbers aren't inflated, difficulty doesn't matter at all.

Re: Does anyone play timing hitting on upper levels of difficulty?
I only use time hitting too. Problem is that the pitch speed is still way too fast even with the pitch speed slider at 0. All the way left. Time window maxed out too. They really need to slow more adjustment and allow us to have it slower.Comment

Re: Does anyone play timing hitting on upper levels of difficulty?
I hear ya, I used to hit on All-Star every year and had a decent time with it. I've been using DD this year for hitting and I've bounced between rookie+ and veteran so apparently my skills have declined or it's just tougher to hit on timing this year then it was in years past. I'm right before the All-Star break and as a team I'm hitting .245 with the Dodgers so talent is clearly not the issue.Comment

Re: Does anyone play timing hitting on upper levels of difficulty?
I'm on dynamic and hover in and out of rookie to Veteran (---) lol
So I'm somewhere in between rookie and veteran, leaning toward rookie obviously. I'm batting about .270 in my RTTS really trying to get over .300Comment

Re: Does anyone play timing hitting on upper levels of difficulty?
I've been moving back and forth between Veteran and All Star this year. Cannot seem to find that happy medium. I like the relaxed feeling of hitting on Veteran, but it's a little easy for me. On All Star, I'm just striking out a ton. Hopefully I can get it together a bit going forward.Comment

Re: Does anyone play timing hitting on upper levels of difficulty?
Does the ball move faster on all-star and higher modes? Or is the ball the same speed, and the sensitivity of your timing on the swing is what really matters?
Or both? Because if the ball appears to moves faster, I'm gonna really struggle at the higher levels.Comment

Re: Does anyone play timing hitting on upper levels of difficulty?
I was hitting about .220 on default veteran with timing through 28 games.
I actually went up to All-Star, but dropped the pitch speed slider to 0 (my reflexes aren't what they used to be). I'm only two games in on AS/0, but so far that seems to be the sweet spot for me.Comment

Re: Does anyone play timing hitting on upper levels of difficulty?
With timing hitting I found to get the best results with HUM contact/hitting at 7. I found that if I had it at 5 I would get too many balls hit poorly resulting in easy outs.
I had to suck up my pride lol
Pitch speed on 3 and contact to 7. I'm 20-27 so it's not like I'm trying to cheat. Low change ups are my kryptonite.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives
