    Fielding Errors by Infielders

    Hey Everyone,

I wanted to get feedback about if anyone is seeing fielding errors by infielders on ground balls.

I am eight games into my season and realized last night that my infielders have handled balls hit to them flawlessly thus far. It is probably nothing, but I wanted to make sure that there is not a greater issue going on that others are aware of that I am not.

For what it is worth, I am using auto-fielding with no slider adjustments of any kind and playing with the OSFM Opening Day Version 1 Rosters.

    Thanks in advance!

I use auto (OSFM), but I have my fielding errors set to 6...

    I've been seeing:

    1) Stat accurate error totals

    2) The occasional mis-handled groundball in the infield that leads to a "scorers decision" (error versus base hit)

    3) Double plays and failed double play attempts that are NOT "picture perfect"

    4) I FINALLY have seen straight up errors on OF flys and just poorly played deep shots

I'd say it's because it's only 8 games..small sample size. I'd expect it to normalize with more time.

Yeah it's a small sample size. I see a huge difference in what Brendan Ryan can field as opposed to Brian Roberts or Jeter.

I am 2 months into a LA Franchise, and we have the 2nd most errors in the league. Surprised me, because they aren't the 'worst' in real life.

          Go with the flow.

Just last night my son and I were playing and his SS went to field a ball to his left and he booted it. Also saw more than one occasion where the first baseman got absolutely ate up by a hot grounder.

It's mainly the corner infielders that are the problem. Routine balls regularly get past them and roll into the outfield. I want to see if adjusting the Reaction slider would help, but that would also aid the opponent (whose infielders, of course, do not have this problem), and hitting isn't my strongest point in the first place.
