What are the strangest all-star picks you've seen?

For me, I just got to the break in my franchise and looked through the NL's picks and saw that Cody Asche from the Phillies is in, hitting .235 with 4 HR's and 15 RBI's. He is roughly 25th in the 3B voting for the NL. The Phillies also have Domonic Brown and Papelbon representing, so I am completely confused as to why Asche is in the game.

Most of the other picks seem to be ok, though I haven't even checked the AL yet.

Anyone else seeing any crazy, non-deserving all-stars?

I've seen the same thing happen, can't remember exactly who the player was though. Similar thing happens every year with gold glove awards. A backup catcher has won it 3 years in a row because his fielding % was 1.000

I played the game yesterday, and another thing I noticed is that the CPU did not make any offensive substitutions. Changed out the pitchers like you would expect, but zero bench players had at-bats or played the field.

Seems like the all-star game got the shaft in an otherwise great game.

Does Derek Jeter count? He's stinking it up, but is the starting SS.

I would imagine they coded the game to play out like Spring Training games.

I've also seen some strange AS picks. Some guys that had no business being there as there were other representatives from their team. Very strange, indeed.

I wish we could choose the rosters for each league in season or franchise mode.

Nori Aoki from KC was way out there and De Aza from the White Sox also made it on. Neither of them posted an average above .270 and took spots from solid outfielders. Also Miggy was a 3rd man 1st basemen...a bit odd.
